I've been working my way through collecting up Notoriously Morbid's permanent range of blushes and highlighters lately as I just love the formula! I think I only have two blushes to go (and two more ready to review) :o NM have a really nice colour and finish range, whether you prefer your blush matte or sparkle, natural or bright purple, they've got you covered!
There are a couple of different sizes that you can get: samples ($1.25USD) contain 1/4 tsp of product in a sample bag, the mini size (pictured, $4.00USD) is a 10g jar with roughly 1.5 to 2 tsp of product and the full size ($8.50USD) is a 20g jar with roughly 4 to 4.5 grams of product. The sifter in the mini jars means that you're not faced with an overwhelming amount of product as soon as you open the jar, although you can always start your application with the residue in the lid to guarantee a light hand.
Each product is swatched heavily on the left and sheered out on the right. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.
Formula overview:
All of Notoriously Morbid's blushes and highlighters have excellent colour pay off and a highly blendable texture that is very flattering on the skin. They don't emphasise skin texture or go blotchy during blending and can be sheered out or built up to your desired intensity very easily. I averaged seven hours wear with this batch.

Astrology
Astrology is described as 'a vibrant hot pink with purple sheen'. Don't let the bright pink or shimmer scare you, this blush is really easy to work with and is very wearable applied. The shimmer is luminizing rather than overtly sparkly, so you could skip a highlight if you wanted to and just use this as a highlighting blush. Astrology lasted for seven hours on me.
I'm wearing Astrology with Giant contour powder (reviewed here) and My Beloved highlighter.
Skin
Skin is described as 'a neutral rose blush in a semi-matte finish'. I've been reaching for this one a lot as it's super flattering and makes for the perfect natural flush. Skin blends out easily and lasts for seven hours on me.
Here I'm wearing Skin with My Beloved highlighter (can you tell I'm obsessed with that one?! It was a limited edition one in a Vanishing Cabinet, sob!) and Essence contouring palette in Ready, Set, Peach!.
Daione Sidhe
Daoine Sidhe is described as 'a warm, gingery pink in a matte finish'. I need to use a light hand with my skintone for this one as it's richly pigmented, but it does blend out easily if you fear you've overdone it! Daoine Sidhe would be gorgeous on medium-deep skintones too. It wore for seven hours on me.
Harlequin
Harlequin is described as 'a pearlesecent white highlighter with a subtle lavender/red shimmer'. This is a beautiful, delicate highlighter than can be subtle or built up for a more intense effect, I tend to fall somewhere in the middle! What I like about it is that despite the white base, I don't see an unflattering white cast or any chalkiness to the skin when wearing this, although I haven't tested that on darker skintones. Harlequin lasts for seven hours on me and par for course, it's a breeze to blend out.
Here's Daoine Sidhe paired with Harlequin and the Essence contouring palette in Ready, Set, Peach!.
What I liked:
- Excellent colour pay off
- Seven hours wear
- Easy to blend out
- Nothing!
