Here's a soap that'll get you clean AND put a big smile on your dial because all sales of the LUSH Hand of Friendship soap (excluding GST) are being donated to Doing Our Bit and Action Station to go towards helping refugees in New Zealand. LUSH believe that more refugees coming into New Zealand should be given the support and services they need from our government to settle into their new lives here and they're using the #BeyondLabels campaign to raise awareness. You can read more about the campaign on their website.
This gorgeous heart shaped soap features two hands entwined to represent the helping hand we can give refugees and has a cherry blossom fragrance. Patrick, my two-year-old, was very enamoured by the soap's design and has claimed it for his own! Before he nicked it, though, I got a few uses in and really enjoyed the fragrance, which is very true-to-life, capturing the delicacy of cherry blossoms perfectly. Hand of Friendship lathers really well and the fragrance clung lightly to my skin after showering for several hours. I'd recommend following up with a body lotion or body conditioner, though, as I didn't find it to be a hydrating soap.
Hand of Friendship is $8.50NZD for 90g. LUSH products can be purchased at LUSH Online (NZ) or you can find your nearest LUSH store using the store locator. International readers can find their local LUSH site here!
