Here's another gem from Karen Murrell's lipstick line! I always enjoy reviewing Karen Murrell's lipsticks, the packaging is elegant and beautiful and the formulas are consistently pretty great too. Today I have Violet Mousse to show you.
Each Karen Murrell lipstick features its own artwork on the outer cardboard sleeve of the box. The tube is their usual classy and sturdy matte black with the 'KM' logo.
Karen Murrell's lipsticks are touted as 'vegetarian lipsticks', created with natural ingredients and ecologically friendly recycled packaging. They are designed to nurture your lips, improving their condition each time you wear a Karen Murrell lipstick.
Violet Mousse is a rosewood nude shade which would be flattering on a variety of skintones. Colour pay off is buildable with a thin, light texture. Karen Murrell lipsticks have very little slip, but they don't drag or tug at the lips either. Violet Mousse wears for five and a half hours on me and isn't drying. I must say I was a little puzzled by the 'violet' in the name at first but I think that refers to undertones rather than the obvious colour.
I'm loving my first nude lipstick from Karen Murrell. There are so many more neutral shades I'd like to try from the range like Cordovan Natural, Orchid Bloom and Lavender Laughter. Have you tried any neutrals from the brand?
What I liked:
- Smooth application
- Non drying
- Buildable colour pay off
- Lasts for five and a half hours
- Easy on the conscience! The lipstick itself is made with natural ingredients and the packaging has been created with biodegradable materials from sustainable sources.
- Doesn't migrate or gather around lips
What I didn't like:
- No complaints here!
