Just when you thought Australis's range couldn't get better, they add five new shades to their Velourlips line! I have three of them to show you today and a bonus giveaway at the end of the post, so stay tuned :D

The packaging is simple and functional; a lip gloss style tube punctuated with a cute heart and lace trim for some extra appeal. Inside is a doefoot applicator that applies colour evenly and precisely (where the formula allows).

BAE-JING
BAE-JING is described as a 'purple based pink shade' and is a beautiful mauve with great colour pay off. Application was fuss free and the wear time was truly impressive, lasting eight hours without being drying. BAE-JING is very similar to LUN-DUN from the existing range, but pinker and warmer - here's a comparison of the two:

SAN-FRAN-DISCO
SAN-FRAN-DISCO is described as a 'bold orange based red'; on me it's straight up orange. Super saturated, ridiculously gorgeous orange :D I've tried a few orange liquid matte lipsticks and so far they've tended to be streaky and difficult to apply, so I'm thrilled with SAN-FRAN-DISCO. It's richly pigmented, goes on evenly and wears for seven hours, during which it was only minimally drying.

MEL-BURN
MEL-BURN is a true black with subtle cool tones. It was the sheerest of the three, requiring two to three layers to reach complete opacity, but it wore pretty well, lasting for five hours on me. It was a touch drying. I love that more brands are making less conventional lip colours accessible, especially at a great price point.
What I liked:
- SAN-FRAN-DISCO and BAE-JING had awesome colour pay off
- Easy to apply
- BAE-JING wasn't drying
- Lasted 5 to 8 hours
- Sweet candy scent
What I didn't like:
- SAN-FRAN-DISCO and MEL-BURN were minimally drying
- MEL-BURN was sheer (2-3 layers)
