Gift Guide: For the Lipstick Lover

Purchased by me/Contains affiliate links

Hey lovelies,

I LOVE Christmas shopping. Finding the perfect gift for each person on my list consumes me for several months of the year and I'm known to be a bit of a madwoman about it, starting my shopping in June and entering each discovery and idea into a carefully formatted spreadsheet. This year however, I've been so busy with the kids and the blog and have left things unusually late (for me). So to help me finish off my shopping and assist others who are still on the prowl I thought I'd pop together some gifting guides. Today I'll be showing you some ideas for the lipstick lover in your life.

Gift Guide: For the Lipstick Lover

1. The Body Shop Lip Balms in Glazed Apple and Vanilla Brulee, $19.95NZD each at The Body Shop
Every lipstick lover needs a good arsenal of high quality lip balms to keep their lips in tip top condition, and The Body Shop's offerings are always impressive. As a bonus, The Body Shop have just launched their online shop with flat rate delivery of $7.50, making your Christmas shopping that much easier to get sorted!

2. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte lipsticks, $60NZD at Fresh
I can't think of any lipstick junkie who wouldn't be thrilled to find one of these babies underneath their Christmas tree, the packaging, formula and price tag ($68NZD at Farmers) all scream luxe. Fortunately you can save a few dollars by picking them up at Fresh Fragrances and Cosmetics, who offer free shipping (and they guarantee Christmas delivery if you order by 4PM on the 15th of December). Plus, if you join their Loyalty Club you can get an additional 5% off!

3. Urban Decay Full Frontal Lip Stash, $39USD at Sephora (Kiwis can use Youshop or similar shipping companies)
Not sure what shade of lipstick to choose? Why not six? A clear lipliner to lock in lip colour and prevent feathering rounds out this set of Revolution lipsticks from Urban Decay, which contains a mixture of best sellers and set-exclusives. I bought this recently so hope to have swatches and a review up for you soon!

4. MAC Red Lip Bag, $100NZD at MAC NZ/$39.50USD at MAC US (Kiwis can use Youshop or similar shipping companies)
It's a rare person who doesn't enjoy a good red lipstick and MAC's cult classic Ruby Woo is certainly one of the best. This kit sees Ruby Woo also reimagined as both lipglass and lip liner for a perfectly co-ordinated holiday look. I'm sucked in by the glitter bag alone!

5. LUSH Santa's Lip Scrub, $11.90NZD at LUSH NZ
This delicious cola flavoured scrub will easily eradicate any errant lip flakes, providing perfectly smooth lips for the best lipstick application.

6. Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick in Poe, $21USD at Sephora (Kiwis can use Youshop or similar shipping companies, or Amazon or Ebay)
Worried you'll accidentally purchase a dupe of something your recipient already has? I can guarantee they won't have anything like Poe! It's a stunning sparkly navy lipstick, not for the faint hearted. I can think of at least one of Mike's cousins who would look completely bad-ass in it. Look out for swatches and reviews of this lipstick on the blog tomorrow!

7. Karen Murrell Limited Edition Christmas Gift Pack, $69NZD at selected pharmacies and health food stores nationwide.
This set would be perfect for international friends! Kiwi brand Karen Murrell makes high quality 'vegetarian lipsticks' - they contain natural ingredients and are ecologically conscious. I've tried several Karen Murrell lipsticks now (see reviews here) and the quality is consistently lovely. You'll save a bit of money on this set too, as each product contained within (Fuchsia Shock and Poppy Passion lipsticks and the Moisture Stick) retail for $30NZD a pop - a $21 saving!

How is your Christmas shopping going? Are you shopping for any lipstick lovers this year?
