Hello, MAC Monday! It's been a while. Today I have Cut A Caper from the 2010 holiday collection, A Tartan Tale, to share with you. This collection took inspiration from Scotland, with product names like Highland Honey, Style Can and The Family Crest along with tartan-striped eyeshadows and holiday kits adding to the theme. I treated myself to two things while this collection was on counter, Undercurrent Pearlglide Intense Liner and Cut A Caper lipstick.
Cut A Caper is described as a 'mid-tone peachy pink' and has a Lustre finish. It's a lovely shade of coral that goes with a wide variety of makeup looks and is easy to throw on and go, providing your lips are in good shape. That Lustre finish can be unforgiving at times and Cut A Caper will definitely catch on dry patches and flakes if you have any but if you don't mind prepping with a little lip scrub, it's a pretty coral to have in your collection. It lasts a little over three hours on me and isn't drying. MAC lipsticks have a vanilla scent.
What I liked:
- Sheer, even payoff
- Non-drying
- Wore for three hours (typical of a Lustre finish)
- Catches on flaws/uneven lip texture
Did you grab anything from A Tartan Tale when it was available?
