Hey lovelies,
Just a quick post today before I jump back into photo editing. I'm catching up! It's like I'm in a race against myself! Exciting! Cropping! Labelling! Stuff!
Ahem. In case you haven't been following along with Darling Girl Daily....
Darling Girl Cosmetics is a US based indie cosmetic company who offer varying sizes of their eyeshadow and face products for very reasonable prices. I purchased:
- The Bloggers Review Kit ($4USD - 4 sample bags containing 1/8 tsp of product & 1 Petit, containing 1/4 tsp)
- A Mix & Match Sample Set ($4 - 5 baggies)
- And a selection of the international only sample bags, which I can no longer find on the site.
Left: Applied dry/Right: Applied over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Demeter is described by Darling Girl as a 'frosty almost metallic golden olive taupe (is that even a color? LOL) with shifty blue iridescence.' Dudes, I don't want to even hazard a guess at what colour Demeter is, but I know I'm digging it. That blue iridescence, which I can see on my arm looks distinctly more green on my lid and there's a smokiness peeking through. I like you, shifty Demeter. You're unpredictable. Except for application, that is - Demeter is easy to blend and apply and it's just as pretty alone as it is over a base. Go forth. Check it out. You won't be disappointed!
What I liked:
- Fabulous colour payoff alone or over a sticky base
- Very easy to work with, blended well and no fall out
- Super reasonably priced - $2.50 for a Petit, $5.90 for a Full Size jar, or try a Mix & Match sample set (5 samples for $4 - all prices in USD)
- Nothing!
- Darling Girl products can be found on their website, don't forget that you can use my code LANILOVES to save 10% on your order.
Are you loving Demeter? Like your eyeshadows a bit more predictable? Let me know in the comments!
