LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Whisper, Elude, Flirt, Peony and Whimsical Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

I loved my original trio of LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints so much (reviewed here) that I ended up buying almost the whole range. Overkill? Probably, but I'm not sorry - there are very few flops in this line! Today I have a selection of nude and pastel shades to share with you.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Whisper, Elude, Flirt, Peony and Whimsical Swatches & Review

From my original review:

The LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints offer 'super intense color' and an 'extra glossy finish', which these three shades definitely deliver on. They come in squeezy tubes with a slanted plastic applicator. The applicator isn't very precise, so my preference is to use a lip brush first to outline my lips and then use the applicator to fill them in. I would have liked to see a sponge tip, like the Too Faced Melted lipsticks that these emulate have, or a doe foot applicator wand like the Australis Pout Pastes.
The Glazed Lip Paints have a light peppermint scent which mostly fades after an hour and they feel emollient on the lips - not tacky or sticky.

Whisper

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Whisper Swatches & Review

Whisper is a very pale warm nude. I'm not sure how much it suits me, I may need to try pairing it with a smokey eye or bolstering it with a deeper lip liner.... but I still kinda love it anyway! Opacity was impressive for such a light shade and not streaky at all. It lasts for four hours on me and isn't drying.

Elude

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Elude Swatches & Review

Elude is a warm peachy nude. It also had great colour pay off and wore for seven hours, which I was thrilled with! It was comfortable to wear and wasn't drying, though I did experience a little gathering of product on the inner part of my lips.

Flirt

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Flirt Swatches & Review

Flirt is a pale warm pink. Again, great opacity and very comfortable to wear. It lasted for a little over four hours on me, after which it was pretty faded.

Peony is a darker version of Flirt, perhaps with a hint more coral. It lasts for four hours on me, great opacity and non drying.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint - Whimsical Swatches & Review

Whimsical is a very cute lavender. Application was lovely and even with a non drying formula. Whimsical wore for five and half hours, with a little fading in the center due to snacking after two hours - I was impressed at how it held up through eating though!

What I liked:
  • All of the shades had great colour pay off
  • All of them wore for four hours or more
  • Most shades did not migrate
  • None of them feathered or bled
  • Really comfortable to wear - they are not drying at all.
  • No sticky or tacky texture
What I didn't like:
    • Difficult to get precise application with the slanted plastic tip
    • Elude gathered a little along the inner part of my lips
    Where to buy:
Have you tried the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints yet? I still have the vampy, orange and red shades to show you so be on the look out for those!
