Femme Fatale Cosmetics: Valentines Day Trio Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Provided for review/Contains referral links

Hey lovelies,

I'm pretty late with this trio - it arrived while I was out of town for my wedding and then of course all my nails went to smithereens while I was away! Boo :(
Although the Femme Fatale Valentines Trio was a limited edition pre-sale on their own website, it's fortunately still in stock with some of their international stockists. Color 4 Nails still has Rich in Beauty and Fool's Paradise and Rainbow Connection UK still has the complete set (use the Rainbow Connection store link to get 5% off your first purchase!).
After many, many coats of nail strengthener, here is the Femme Fatale Valentines Day Trio!

The boxes for this collection are glossy black instead of white. I really like them! This is the second collection to feature Femme Fatale's new 9ml bottles and as I mentioned last time - they are one of the few brands to reduce price along with size! Such a cool move.

Star-Crossed Lovers, 3 coats

A gorgeous warm deep plum based filled with darker purple shimmer and holo glitter. Star-Crossed Lovers applied beautifully in three coats while still retaining that jelly depth. Here I've shown it without topcoat and you can see a bit of texture but it's still quite glossy.

Fool's Paradise, 3 coats

This is what Chanel Peridot aspires to. I don't know how Sophie manages to balance these combinations of glitter and shimmer so perfectly, but she does and for that I bow down to her! This one covered nicely in three coats too. Again, pictured without topcoat and not lumpy or bumpy at all - just the normal minimal texture of glitter.

Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat

And now we come to my personal favourite in the collection, Rich in Beauty! This is a such a versatile polish so I had to show you a couple of different ways of wearing it. Worn alone it's mostly opaque with some nail line visible. Over black, the glitter mix really pops - I'm a such a sucker for contrasting shimmer and the purple micro-shimmer in this has my heart pounding! I love glitter gradients too, so I had to do a demure-yet-glitzy gradient over a nude polish as well. Another great formula here. I can see myself using this a lot!

Did you buy any of these beauties in the Valentines Day pre-sale? Are you planning on tracking them down?
