Moisture Mist Blusher B03 Plum Rose Swatches & Review

Provided for review

Hey lovelies,

Moisture Mist have been impressing me with their offerings of late and Plum Rose blush is no exception. This shade of blush is one of three shades that have been rereleased in pretty pink limited edition packaging for summer but is available in pan form year round. If you're looking to take advantage of Moisture Mist's current gift with purchase offer, the pan version of Plum Rose is included in that offer but the limited edition packaging unfortunately isn't.

The packaging for this edition of Plum Rose is very cute, with it being housed in bright pink cardboard packaging with a floral design. Inside there's a tiny floppy blush brush which can be good in a pinch but lacks the density and size to really perform well. I'd prefer to see Moisture Mist switch to a larger pan size rather than add the brush,

Plum Rose is a neutral brown rose with a finely milled, silky texture and excellent pigmentation. It kicks up a little excess powder in the pan but this powderiness doesn't translate on skin at all. It sits beautifully on skin and can be worn sheerly or built up for more impact.
The neutral factor makes it workable on varying complexions - I've been using it on myself (MAC NC15 or Estee Lauder Double Wear Ivory Nude for reference) for everyday and my mother and mother-in-law (both Estee Lauder Double Wear Pebble, considerably darker and more olive) for my wedding and it looks great on all of us if I do say so myself. The last power is also worth writing home about, hanging on for ten hours before fading evenly at the eleventh hour.

What I liked:
  • Great pigmentation
  • Finely milled, smooth, blendable texture
  • Lasts eight hours before beginning to fade evenly
What I didn't like:
  • Kicks up a little excess powder in pan
  • Brush is a bit useless!
Where to buy:
I'm super impressed by Plum Rose and am hanging out to check out more of Moisture Mist's blushes. What do you think of it? Have you tried any of Moisture Mist blushes before?
