Bite Beauty's products are like a can of Pringles, once you try one, it's hard to stop! I've been steadily picking up little bits and pieces from their range over a the past year and so far there's not been a single dud. Bouquet is a shade I scooped up on an impulse from a friend's destash without too much thought - I certainly never expected to be as in love with it as I am!
High Pigment Pencils come in Bite's regular matte black packaging, which has a rubberized feeling similar to a lot of NARS products (although it hasn't been nearly as difficult to keep clean!). The lipstick winds up and retracts smoothly and the twisting mechanism is tinted to roughly match the colour inside.
Swatched on bare skin under daylight bulbs
Bouquet is a peachy pink with a satin finish and excellent colour pay off. Officially the High Pigment Pencils are supposed to have a 'modern matte' finish but I wouldn't describe them as such, there's a lot more shine going on than other 'modern mattes' on the market at the moment. That's not to say I don't like the finish, of course - the High Pigment Pencils have a beautiful, creamy texture that seems to melt against your lips and has just the right amount of slip, so they're a pleasure to apply and wear.
The scent is very light and citrusy - if that has you thinking of cringing and thinking of cleaning products, rest assured it's a much more natural and subtle scent, they're nothing alike! Bouquet lasted for just under four hours on me, didn't bunch or feather and was lightly hydrating.
