Now and then, Notoriously Morbid release Tribute Trios, which are sets of products inspired by Carrie's favourite bands and musicians. I was so excited when the sTORIes Trio came out because Tori Amos's music pretty much defined my late teens, an experience I know I'm not alone in. I love how unpredictable and eccentric her music can be, the rich tapestry of lyrics - with all their quirky references and truths - and how she can take a classical, traditional instrument like a piano and play it with the gusto and abandon of a hard rocker. I had to photograph this Trio with my two favourite Tori albums, Under the Pink and Boys For Pele. Most of her albums are amazing but these two contain many of my most loved songs and I always come back to them.
Tribute Trios are limited edition, but occasionally Carrie re-releases products for special events, so you never know! If you're a Tori fan, too, you might like to check out the current Colour of the Month eyeshadow, Breaking Porcelain, which takes its name from the lyrics in 'Goodbye Pisces'.
I really enjoy Notoriously Morbid's eyeshadow formula. They're easy to work with, blend well, and are often completely unique to what's being put out by mainstream brands. Some shades, especially the more glittery ones perform best over a sticky base but can certainly be used on their own.
Swatch notes:
All eyeshadow swatches in this post are done two ways: applied on bare skin on the left-hand side and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, a sticky eyeshadow base which maximises colour intensity and sparkle, on the right. This is so you can see how they perform both ways. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.

Raisin Girl is a medium warm purple with pink, purple and gold shimmer. It applies well both alone and over a base and is very easy to work with. I feel like I have a lot of bright cool-toned purples and not a lot of warmer options in my arsenal so Raisin Girl is a very welcome addition for me! The shimmer adds so much dimension to an already pretty colour.
I've used Gender on the inner half of the lid, Raisin Girl on the outer half of the lid, Logic Boy on the crease, Billiwhack on the inner corner and Naughty Nanny over smudged out liner on the lower lashline. The lashes are these ones
in the #WSP style.

The Power of Orange Knickers is a soft blood-orange with gold shimmer. I found the colour payoff on the sheer side when applied dry, but it comes to life over a sticky base. Honestly, I wasn't too thrilled with how the look below came out so I'll definitely have to pull The Power of Orange Knickers out again and hopefully do it justice next time.
I used Visions on the inner third of the lid here with Power of Orange Knickers on the centre of the lid and inner half of the lower lashline, Protective Aggressor on the outer third of the lid, Baroness on the outer V/outer half of the lower lashline, 5 by 5 on the crease, He's Going Through Changes as a transition and Harlequin highlighter on the inner corner. The lashes are Ardell Demi Wispies.

This Tribute Trio also included a solid perfume called Snow Cherries From France, which is described as follows:
'Base of amber, clementine, and a touch of patchouli. Middle notes of lemon and berbie rich florals. Topped off with a clean and light blend of violets, raspberries, and jasmine with a tint of peppermint and chocolate. This fragrance is dark and mysterious with a clean bite and no promises of snow cherries'.
I found the fragrance fruity, which also gave it a very fresh feeling, but quite soapy. Snow Cherries From France wasn't really my cup of tea, but you can't win 'em all!
Are you a Tori Amos fan? If so, which songs are your favourites? I have so many, but Bells For Her and Baker Baker were the two that I stumbled upon first, so I'll always have a soft spot for them (well, really the whole Under the Pink album!) but many of the tracks from Boys For Pele (Talula, Professional Widow, Blood Roses) and From the Choirgirl Hotel (She's Your Cocaine, Raspberry Swirl) were fuel for my angsty teenage years, haha.
