Notoriously Morbid Eyeshadows - Momo Monster, Billiwhack, Dogman, My Log Saw Something That Night and Owl Swatches & Review

I have another set of Notoriously Morbid eyeshadows to show you today! Most of the shades reviewed below are permanent, but one is discontinued, so I'll note the availability with each mini review.

There are plenty of eyeshadow sizing options to suit everyone's preferences and budget. The sample size ($1.25USD) contains approx. 1/4 tsp of product in baggie, the mini-size ($2.75USD) has approx. 1/3 tsp of product in a 3g jar, the full size ($5.50USD) has approx. 1/2 to 3/4 tsp of product in a 5g jar and finally, the deluxe size ($7.50USD) has approx. 1 to 1 1/4 tsp of product in a 10g jar. Personally, I always opt for the mini size, except where full size is the only option, as I find jars easier to use than baggies and it's rare for me to finish an eyeshadow!

Formula overview:
I really enjoy Notoriously Morbid's eyeshadow formula. They're easy to work with, blend well, and are often completely unique to what's being put out by mainstream brands. Some shades, especially the more glittery ones perform best over a sticky base but can certainly be used on their own.

Swatch notes:
All eyeshadow swatches in this post are done two ways: applied on bare skin on the left hand side and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, a sticky eyeshadow base which maximises colour intensity and sparkle, on the right. This is so you can see how they perform both ways. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.

Momo Monster

Momo Monster (permanent) is described as a 'dusky berry toned base with a glowing chartreuse green overlay'. The base colour reads as more of a blackberry than dusky berry to me, the glowing green shimmer however needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. It's so rich and vibrant, I just love it! Best used over a sticky base to really show off the shimmer. Momo Monster is part of the ongoing State of Fear collection, which features mythological creatures from each of America's 50 states.

Dogman

Dogman (permanent) is described as a 'shimmering ginger brown with pink and blue sparkles.' This is a lovely easy to wear neutral for lovers of warm tones and the subtle blue sparks add interest (the pink ones aren't so visible to my eye). Lovely alone or over a base and very easy to work with. Dogman is also part of the State of Fear collection.

I've used Dogman on the lid for this look, Logic Boy on the crease and Momo Monster on the lower lashline. I also used Mannakadar 3-in-1 highlighter in Fantasy on the inner corner and the lashes are Ardell Wispies.

Billiwhack

Billiwhack (permanent) is described as 'a pale pink with golden shift.' It's super glowy and pretty, I think it would make an awesome cheek highlight too. The gold shift comes out more as you buff it out and it works perfectly with or without a base. Another one from the State of Fear collection.

I've used Gender on the inner half of the lid, Raisin Girl on the outer hald of the lid, Logic Boy on the crease, Billiwhack on the inner corner and Naughty Nanny over smudged out liner on the lower lashline. The lashes are these ones in the #WSP style.

My Log Saw Something That Night

My Log Saw Something That Night (discontinued) is a warm, gingery brown with a matte base and fine coppery shimmer. The shimmer is subtle enough that it would work wonderfully for the crease and it blends out easily. I'm sad that it was discontinued because it's really such a versatile eyeshadow! My Log Saw Something That Night was part of the Lost in the Lodge collection, inspired by Twin Peaks.

I've used My Log Saw Something That Night on the outer two thirds of the lid and lower lashline, Doll's Eye on the crease and He's Going Through Changes on the transition. Extra Fancy was used on the inner third of the lid, Osteomancy highlighter on the inner corner and I foiled Scotland the Brave for eyeliner. The lashes are these ones from Born Pretty Store.

Owl

Owl (permanent) is described as a 'metallic white gold'. It's a pale yellow gold with sparkles although it does indeed seem to reflect a white glow when blended out on the inner corner. This is another one that doesn't need an adhesive base to look gorgeous.

I've used Give the Devil His Due on the inner half of the lid for this look, with Eye of the Tiger on the outer half and on the lower lashline over smudged out liner. I used Mister Unlucky (November 2015 Vanishing Cabinet) on the crease and He's Going Through Changes for the transition. The inner corner highlight is Owl and the lashes are Sarah Jean SJ001s.
