Hey lovelies,
I may have gone
I enjoyed Collection's Does It All mascara so decided to try their Super Size Fat Lash mascara. With a name like that, I looked forward to plump, voluminous lashes. Did it deliver?
Super Size Fat Lash is housed in a pretty pink tube. The brush is your traditional bristled mascara wand; this is one of the most classic styles of mascara wand out there. Almost a refreshing change with the dearth of increasingly bizarre styles on the market now, from the swan inspired to the spherical and everything inbetween.
This mascara does a great job of grabbing every lash and providing defined, blackened lashes. What it doesn't do is add volume. At all. I have lengthening mascaras that give my lashes more of a boost than this; it reminds me of the barely there Maybelline Definealash I had in my early teens. I wasn't impressed then and I'm not thrilled now. When it comes to mascara, for me size matters - my wee lashes need all the help they can get! This also doesn't curl or lift lashes and it won't hold a curl.
Super Size Fat Lash doesn't smudge or flake and removes easily; it's nice enough for a subtle look. I wish Collection would slap a name on it that's more accurate to the results though. Grab it if you have naturally full lashes that just need a little defining, or if a more subtle look is your jam. For everyone else, I highly recommend Collection's Does It All mascara (because it really does!).
What I liked:
- Provides definition and inky black lashes
- No clumping
- Doesn't flake or smudge
What I didn't like:
- Wasn't at all volumising as the name would suggest
- Doesn't provide any lift/curl or hold curl
Where to buy:
- Countdown supermarkets (NZ) - see a list of stockists on the Collection site here
- Boots.com
- It's also available in the Philippines - see a list of stockists on the website's where to buy page
