Packaging:
Notoriously Morbid have plenty of eyeshadow sizing options to suit everyone's preferences and budget. The mini-size ($2.75USD) has approx. 1/3 tsp of product in a 3g jar, the full size ($5.50USD) has approx. 1/2 to 3/4 tsp of product in a 5g jar and the deluxe size ($7.50USD) has approx. 1 to 1 1/4 tsp of product in a 10g jar. Personally, I always opt for the mini size, except where full size is the only option, as it's rare for me to finish an eyeshadow! Some of these shades are now available as pressed eyeshadows (Evil Eye, Zinthos), which are $7USD in a loose 27mm pan or $10USD in a black 27mm compact.
Formula overview:
I really enjoy Notoriously Morbid's eyeshadow formula. They're easy to work with, blend well, and are often completely unique to what's being put out by mainstream brands. Some shades, especially the more glittery ones perform best over a sticky base but can certainly be used on their own.
Swatch notes:
All eyeshadow swatches in this post are done two ways: applied on bare skin on the left-hand side and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, a sticky eyeshadow base which maximises colour intensity and sparkle, on the right. This is so you can see how they perform both ways. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.

Evil Eye
Evil Eye (not vegan) is described as 'a super metallic pink with a green to gold duochrome'. This has a semi-loose formula and is super pigmented as a result; while the duochrome is most visible over a sticky base, Evil Eye doesn't require one to look great. I hate the jersey I was wearing when I did this look (charcoal is SO not my colour) so I must use Evil Eye again soon as that jersey is all I'm seeing right now!! 😰
Evil Eye is part of the Retro collection, which is made up of re-released vintage NM shades in a new semi-loose formula.
Unattainable
Unattainable (vegan) is described as 'a navy blue jam packed with blue and purple shimmer'. The blackened base makes the shimmer stand out. The blackened base comes out more when applied without a base or when you buff it out, making it a great option for a smokey eye. So far, my favourite way to wear it is foiled as eyeliner. Check out the flash of purple shimmer in the second shot!
Unattainable is part of the Slay Me Alternate Finishes mini collection and is inspired by Buffy and Spike's relationship.
Zinthos
Zinthos (vegan) is described as 'a dark grey purple with blue sheen'. I like this shade so much more than I anticipated, it's so smokey and delicious! Zinthos performs beautifully solo or with a base.
Like Evil Eye, this is a released semi-loose shadow from the Retro collection.
Degrees of Death & Virtue
Degrees of Death & Virtue (not vegan) is described as 'a blackened teal with green and blue shimmers'. The colour is not me at all but so fun to experiment with and the formula is superb! I'll be trying it as a liner next, I think.
It comes from the Murder of Crows collection, inspired by the film The Crow.
Bram
Bram (discontinued, vegan) is a light grey with blue and pink shimmer. This is quite an old shade, as you might have gathered from the packaging! I hope it makes it to the Retro collection some day though, as it's so pretty and if you can track down the existing version, the formula is really nice: finely milled and smooth.
For this look, I've used Bram on the inner half of the lid, Degrees of Death and Virtue on the outer half of the lid, Frank on the lower lashline, Bunnies Frighten Me on the inner corner, Doll's Eye on the crease, He's Going Through Changes for the transition and It's the White Hats on the browbone. The lashes are Ebay faux mink in the style A03.
What do you think of these colours?
