Hey lovelies,
This week's MAC Monday brings you one item which is still readily available! Huzzah! I'll be showing you the two blushes from the recent Simpsons collection. To be honest I have no strong feelings either way toward The Simpsons, so I was going to pass on this collection. But then Temptalia's swatches popped up, and the lure of online only exclusives got to me... MAC sure has a sucker in me for their marketing tactics :s
Anyway, I ended up with both of the blushes from this collection and I broke my MAC lipglass ban and picked one of those up (and then another later, whoops) so you'll see a bit more from this collection! For now though, let's look at the blushes!
The packaging for this collection features a multitude of famous characters against the classic Simpsons yellow backdrop. Marge is the face of the collection and her blue hair is aptly picked against everything else.
From the compact itself, Marge glowers seductively and inside, the same design is imprinted in the powder, which is what really sucks me in. For some reason, if you imprint a powder with any kind of design, I'm sold. Silly, really.

Sideshow You
Sideshow You is the online exlusive of the two. It's a true coral with sparse, subtle shimmer. The texture is dry but not chalky or powdery. Coral is my favourite shade to wear on cheeks so I was really excited for this one and it is a really pretty shade. Pigmentation is sheer but buildable which makes it ideal for my complexion, however darker skintones may have trouble getting it to show up well. Sideshow You lasted around 7 hours on me.

Pink Sprinkles
Pink Sprinkles was recently restocked on the MAC US website and is currently available to purchase at the time of writing. It's a near matte neutral pink with buildable colour pay off. Pink Sprinkles is quite subtle on me and may appear chalky on deeper skintones. Like Sideshow You, it's drier than I'd like, though this dryness doesn't translate on skin - it's just a bit stiff in the pan. Pink Sprinkles wore for 6 hours before fading.
- Buildable colour pay off
- Blendable
What I didn't like:
- The texture of both blushes is on the drier side

Did you pick up either of these blushes? Are you a big Simpsons fan?

Lani
I am a big Simpsons fan, but I didn't get anything because I just wasn't into the makeup at first look. The first blush for this, actually looks really nice on you l!
ReplyDeleteSideshow You blush is my favorite! I ended up selling the Pink Sprinkles blush.
