Notoriously Morbid Somebody To Love Tribute Trio Swatches & Review

Now and then, Notoriously Morbid release Tribute Trios, which are sets of products inspired by Carrie's favourite bands and musicians. Somebody To Love was inspired by Queen and the names are taken from some of their most popular songs. My kids absolutely love having a boogie to Queen, it's excellent rocking out in the lounge on a lazy Sunday music! Pat's favourite song is Don't Stop Me Now and his dance moves are very cute.
Tribute Trios are limited edition, but occasionally Carrie re-releases products for special events, so you never know!

Formula overview:
I really enjoy Notoriously Morbid's eyeshadow formula. They're easy to work with, blend well, and are often completely unique to what's being put out by mainstream brands. Some shades, especially the more glittery ones perform best over a sticky base but can certainly be used on their own.

Swatch notes:
All eyeshadow swatches in this post are done two ways: applied on bare skin on the left-hand side and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, a sticky eyeshadow base which maximises colour intensity and sparkle, on the right. This is so you can see how they perform both ways. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.

To avoid complications
She never kept the same address
In conversation
She spoke just like a baroness
Killer Queen - Queen

Baroness is a wine red with copper shimmer. It swatches well enough but when I came to use it on my eyes, I found it disappointingly sheer (see the outer half of my lower lashline in the picture below). It definitely needs a sticky base to shine and I do like it applied that way, but it's not up to Notoriously Morbid's usual standard.

I used Visions on the inner third of the lid here with Power of Orange Knickers on the centre of the lid and inner half of the lower lashline, Protective Aggressor on the outer third of the lid, Baroness on the outer V/outer half of the lower lashline, 5 by 5 on the crease, He's Going Through Changes as a transition and Harlequin highlighter on the inner corner. The lashes are Ardell Demi Wispies.

Hey I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew love before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman, you made a bad boy out of me
Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen

Naughty Nanny is a medium purple loaded with sparkle. This is insanely gorgeous, I can't get over how much I love it! It packs more of a punch over a sticky base but can absolutely be used without one, as I've shown on the lower lashline in the look below. Can't wait to use this again!

I've used Gender on the inner half of the lid, Raisin Girl on the outer half of the lid, Logic Boy on the crease, Billiwhack on the inner corner and Naughty Nanny over smudged out liner on the lower lashline. The lashes are these ones in the #WSP style.

I'm burning through the sky Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm traveling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

Super Sonic Woman is a light pink gloss with fine pearly shimmer. I was impressed with the smooth, lightweight and non-sticky texture which covers evenly and doesn't sink into lines. Super Sonic Woman lasted three and a half hours on me and was hydrating.
