July 2015 Lust Have It Box Review

Hey guys!

I'm a bit behind the eight ball on this one, bad blogger! I have July's Lust Have it box to share with you today, which arrived in my letterbox halfway through August.

Lust Have It is a an Aussie based beauty subscription box company that promise to send out 5 to 6 samples per subscription box for $19.95AUD (including shipping!). The contents are a surprise, with Lust Have It aiming to provide you with an assortment of items you might not necessarily have picked up yourself (but will hopefully enjoy!).

The reason I'm so late on reviewing July's box is that it mostly contained makeup (as opposed to the June box, which had one lipstick). I was in my element, and quite frankly, got rather distracted playing with it all. The upshot is that I have swatches and mini reviews of everything for you :D

July 2015 Lust Have It Box - Hikari Emma eyeshadow quad Review

This Hikari eyeshadow quad reminds me of Lime Crime's Venus palette with the rich russets and neutral browns. This quad is called Emma, but there were three other colour options that subscribers could receive (Gwen, Halle or Zoe). I'm really impressed with the colour pay off and the texture feels very soft and blendable. If you like the look of Lime Crime Venus but aren't keen on the brand or the price, Hikari Emma is a great way to evoke a similar effect.

July 2015 Lust Have It Box - Be A Bombshell The One Stick Southern Belle review

The Be A Bombshell One Stick is a multi use product that can be applied to lips, cheeks or eyes. I received the shade Southern Belle, the other option being Flustered.  After experimenting with Southern Belle for a bit I found that I wasn't keen on it on my eyes (creased very quickly on my oily lids) or my lips (dry, flakey texture) but it makes a beautiful blush. I'm wearing it on my cheeks in the picture below. I'll have a full review of Southern Belle up, along with a lip swatch, as soon as I can :)

July 2015 Lust Have It Box - Be A Bombshell Saucy Lip Gloss Review

Although labelled a lip gloss, Be A Bombshell Saucy packs so much punch it's more of a liquid lipstick! Subscribers received either Saucy, Taupeless or Sugar Lips. I'm really happy with Saucy, bold reds are always a firm favourite of mine and the wear time is great.

Marsk Certified Organic Eyeliner Pitch Black review

The final makeup item in this box is the Marsk Certified Organic Eyeliner in Pitch Black and sadly it's the only one that really fell flat for me. Opacity is alright, shown as a single pass on the left and built up on the right in the swatch below. I applied it to my waterline and smudged it out along my lower lashline in the eyeshadow look before layering the blue eyeshadow over top. It wasn't at all keen to stay in place on the waterline, appearing a little patchy from the get go, but performed butter on my lower lashline (being set with the eyeshadow certainly would have helped too). It's not terrible, but it's certainly nothing to write home about either. Definitely not worth the $33.50AUD RRP in my opinion.

July 2015 Lust Have It Box - Pauls's Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum

I'm quite bogged down with skincare at the moment so I haven't yet had a chance to try this Paula's Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum, but it looks pretty good. I quite like the packaging, which has a pump that twists out from the top of the tube. I'm easily pleased by quirky packaging :D

All in all I'm pretty thrilled with the July Lust Have It box! If you'd like to try this subscription out for yourself, you can use the code LANILOVES1 to get $5 off your first month at www.lusthaveit.com.au/ :)
