After a stellar year of one jaw dropping collection after another, Femme Fatale are ending 2015 with a bang. Their last collection for the year is based on Dune, the classic science fiction novel by Frank Herbert. It's a wonderful mixture of warm tones which I'm really enjoying since this year's releases have been predominantly cool toned.

Genetic Memory
Femme Fatale - Genetic Memory, 2 coats + top coat
Genetic Memory ($9.50AUD) is a dusty purple with vibrant shimmer (which brings to mind a warmer version of Chanel Paradoxal) and a generous helping of orange to green flakies. I was impressed at how opaque it was in just two coats. The flakies give it some slight texture so I added top coat for shine.

Reverend Mothers
Femme Fatale - Reverend Mothers, 3 coats + top coat
Reverend Mothers ($9.50AUD) is such an unusual colour I don't quite know how to describe it! The blood orange base colour is filled with colour shifting blue to pink shimmer and lots of holo glitters. Sophie is the queen of complex polish colours and Reverend Mothers is a great example of this! It built up perfectly in three coats and dried a little textured, so top coat was added.

Sandscrawler
Femme Fatale - Sandscrawler, 2 coats
Sandscrawler ($8.50AUD) is a sunny goldenrod yellow with an amber duochrome and golden green shimmer. It's richly pigmented and applies with some visible brushstrokes due to the heavy shimmer but (unusually for me) this doesn't bother me at all; the colour itself is just so captivating!

Grandfather of the Desert
Femme Fatale - Grandfather of the Desert, 3 coats + top coat
Grandfather of the Desert ($8.50AUD) is one of my favourites in this collection, a luxurious shimmering gold filled with intense holographic glitter. My pictures don't even begin to do it justice, it's so sparkly in real life. Top coat was added for shine but it wasn't overly textured or dull on its own.

Blue-Within-Blue-Eyes
Femme Fatale - Blue-Within-Blue-Eyes, 3 coats + top coat
Blue-Within-Blue-Eyes ($10.50AUD) is my other favourite in this collection, a stunning royal blue thermal which shifts to a baby blue when warm. If that wasn't cool enough already there's also pink shimmer and green-blue flakies thrown in the mix. If you can only pick up one polish in this collection, make it Blue-Within-Blue-Eyes.

Voices of the Outer World
Femme Fatale - Voices of the Outer World, 3 coats + top coat
Voices of the Outer World ($10.50AUD) is the other thermal in the collection, a berry-fuchsia with heaps of blue flakies and shimmer. The base goes almost clear when warm, making the blue shimmer stand out even more. Although I didn't do the best job of capturing it, the thermal change is actually quite strong - it was quite cold the evening I swatched this, but I put my youngest to bed right after and the colour changed very quickly while snuggled up reading stories in bed!

The Weirding Way
Femme Fatale - The Weirding Way, 3 coats + top coat
The Weirding Way ($8.50AUD) is a warm brownish mauve with strong aqua to purple shimmer and different sizes of holographic glitter. This is another very unique shade, I don't own anything like it. It applies really well and needs top coat to seal in the glitter and make it shine.

The Secret Coinage
Femme Fatale - The Secret Coinage, 3 coats (alone), 1 coat over black + top coat
The Secret Coinage ($9.50AUD) is one I wasn't immediately sold on in the bottle, but once I got it on my nails, holy heck! It's a sheer copper microglitter with pink shimmer, holo sparkle and orange flakies. Check out how much it pops over black! I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this. It dried a little dull, so top coat was added.
