Australis Pout Paste - Make Me Blush Swatches & Review

Provided for review

Hey lovelies,

Australis have been busy lately bringing out new colours in some of their most popular formulas and new products too (is anyone else keeping their eyes peeled for the AC on Tour contouring palette?). Today I'm showing you one of their three new shades of Pout Paste, a formula Australis describes as 'A super high coverage pigment stain that provides an instant glossy pout.' I received Make Me Blush, a pretty strawberry-coral.

The Pout Paste comes in a squeezable lipgloss tube with a long doefoot applicator. This is definitely my preferred applicator for this kind of product as it helps to spread the lip colour more evenly.

Make Me Blush is a glossy coral with red leanings. It has lovely colour pay off though it does take a teensy bit of fussing to coax it evenly into place. Once applied, it doesn't feather or bleed and wears for around four hours, becoming more matte and quite faded toward the end. I did notice a tendency for the colour to sort of bunch up on itself over the course of the day, which made the application look less even overall. The Pout Paste formula is somewhat thick and slightly tacky with a sweet floral fragrance with kind of a melon hint. If you love high shine, pigmented lip glosses you'll enjoy this; personally I would reach for a lipstick over Pout Paste for this kind of colour pay off, but I am not much of a gloss person.

  1. For some reason I always assumed that they were a squeeze tube! I do like gloss, so I like the look of these. I'm planning on using my Farmers rewards points for some of the new Velourlips but I think I'll have to try these too!

  4. Your lip swatch is beautiful ♥ lol I thought like Lena did.... When I see a tube style lip gloss, I always assume it's a squeeze tube! and that kind of put me off :/ tbh I can never apply lip gloss evenly with a squeezey tube! Anyway, that's a beautiful color, you look gorgeous!

  5. Thank you Kay! I feel like their testers for this range might be in squeeze tubes for some reason? I think this would be impossible to apply evenly with one of those!
