Hey lovelies,

Etude House have a lot to answer for, starting with my empty wallet. Their adorable packaging and quality products are a winning combination I can't resist and their latest collaboration with Disney, the Princess Happy Ending collection, is no exception. I've been gradually picking up bits and bobs from the collection and today I have one of the blushes to show you, Coral Rose.

The Rose Cheek Blushers are presented in a beautifully designed storybook box.

Please stop with the cuteness, Etude House, you're killing me.
No. Don't. I love it.

The compact is about the size of a MAC blush and is pastel pink (the lid shimmery, the base plain). It's plastic, the bottom half of the compact feeling nice and sturdy, but the lid feels flimsier. It reminds me of the plastic some of the toys I had growing up were made of, there's a touch of flexibility making it feel slightly weaker than I'd like - the cute and childish packaging is probably contributing to that feeling though.

Inside you'll find a beautiful rose shaped pinky-coral blush shot through with golden shimmer. Etude House isn't the first to make rose moulded blushes, MAC and Milani have also given them a whirl. I haven't tried Milani's blushes, but in the case of the MAC ones (limited edition with A Rose Romance a few years ago) the pattern seems to make the colour harder to pick up - this isn't the case here. The texture of Coral Rose is soft, silky and so easy to apply and blend. It's not powdery either and the pattern is quite raised so despite my having used it a few times already, you really can't tell to look at it!

Swatched heavily on the left and blended out on the right. I like the buildable nature of this blush. Being so pale, I have to use a very light hand with some blushes and then blend for dear life. Coral Rose can be applied sheerly or built up for a natural flush. The shimmer is quite subtle and imparts a glow rather than looking frosty. It wore for 7 hours on me before beginning to fade.

A FOTD with Coral Rose

What I liked:
  • Great, buildable colour pay off.
  • Silky and blendable texture.
  • Super cute packaging and design.
  • Wears for 7 hours before beginning to fade.
What I didn't like:
  • The lid of the packaging feels a bit flimsy.
Where to buy:
Have you bought anything from this collection? What do you think of this blush? I want the the other one, Pink Rose, now!

X
