Most of these shades were limited edition, but Nearly Headless Nick was added to the permanent range so you can pick it up anytime! Carrie from Notoriously Morbid has also started bringing back previous Vanishing Cabinet shades for a month at a time, so you never know what might be resurrected. Or what may pop up in the Notoriously Morbid Buy/Sell/Trade group or in a blog sale. Basically, never give up on an ISO.

The Vanishing Cabinet is a monthly subscription service from US based indie brand Notoriously Morbid. The amount of products included seems to vary, but there's typically three to five products in each. It's $13.25USD within the US and $20USD for international (including shipping), so a very reasonable monthly treat! The Halloween/October 2015 Vanishing Cabinet was quite aptly, given the name of the whole subscription, inspired by the house ghosts in Harry Potter. Each ghost is represented, with a special appearance by Peeves (I'm still sad we didn't get to see Rik Mayall as Peeves in the movies).

Fat Friar
Fat Friar is a light golden-green shimmer with silver sparkles. It has lovely, smooth colour payoff and texture and applies well with or without a base.
For this look, I've used Bright Lights, Bright Lights! on the lid, Gleaming on the crease, Gypsy Curse to deepen the crease, He's Going Through Changes for the transition, It's the White Hats on the browbone and inner corner, Bloody Baron on the outer half of the lower lashline and Fat Friar on the inner half of the lower lashline. The lashes are Ardell Demi Wispies.
Nearly Headless Nick
Nearly Headless Nick is a rich gold with a burgundy base. The difference over the sticky base is pretty remarkable! When applying it alone, the burgundy base becomes more apparent with pressure, but if you pat it on you'll get a predominantly gold finish. Nearly Headless Nick is quite the chameleon, I'm so glad it's been made permanent.
Here, I've used Nearly Headless Nick on the lower lashline, Tainted Love on the outer two thirds of the lid, Fight For Beauty on the inner third of the lid, Always Your Girl on the crease, She's Got Gidget Hair for the transition, It's the White Hats on the browbone and mixed with Head Key on the inner corner. The lashes are these ones from Ebay in the style 523.
Bloody Baron
Bloody Baron is a dirty chartreuse shimmer with red and silver sparkles. It's such an interesting shade and one I wasn't sure I'd like (hence putting off using it for so long) but I actually really dig it (see it paired with Fat Friar above). Definitely needs a sticky base, though.
The Grey Lady
Grey Lady is dark navy blue peppered with silver sparkles and blue shimmer. It's a delightfully glitter-laden shade that has me fervently wishing I could pull off blues easily! Instead, I'll keep finding ways to sneak it into my makeup. I want to use it foiled as a liner next. Great opacity alone or over a base but as you can see, a sticky base really helps the glitter to stand out.
For this look, I've used Grey Lady on the outer two thirds of the lower lashline, Fight For Beauty on the inner two thirds, He's Going Through Changes for the transition, Doll's Eye on the crease, Are you A God on the lid and Crybaby on the inner corner. The lashes are these ones from Ebay in the style 208.
Peeves' Butterbeer Moisturizing Lip Oil
This VC also included a new product in the form of Peeves' Butterbeer Moisturizing Lip Oil. It was deliciously scented and had a mesmerizing lava lamp effect (appearances aside, it actually rolled on clear) but I wasn't thrilled with the product itself, which tended to sit on the lips without really absorbing or providing a moisturising effect. This was the one and only outing of the Lip Oils as they seemed to receive quite a mixed response. So beautiful in the tube though - kinda wish I'd kept it just to look at!
