Gosh, I can't believe it's almost been two years since the MAC Julia Petit collection came out! This collaboration with Brazilian lifestyle blogger Julia Petit was a small and not widely-released range consisting of three lipsticks, a Lipglass, a blush, Lustre Drops, a few eyeshadow duos, an eyeliner and a Prep + Prime powder. Short and sweet to capture Petit's style! I picked up the lipsticks (of course) and the blush, which I'll show you in a future MAC Monday post.
The lipsticks in this collection were a mixture of Satins and a single Matte. Both formulas are strongly pigmented, long-wearing, smooth in texture and are usually non-drying with the Satins having a bit more sheen than the Mattes.

Boca
Boca is described as a 'soft pink nude' and has a Satin finish. I love this as an everyday pink, it's just so pretty and wearable! Quite similar to Brave from the permanent range, if you're not prepared to hunt this one down. Boca lasted five and half hours on me and was minimally drying, but tolerable. It stains bright pink, which surprised me - I didn't expect it from a relatively light shade!
Petite Red
Petite Red is described as a 'strawberry cream' and has a Satin finish. Another red? Yeah buddy! The strawberry pink tint sets it apart from my classic blue-reds and the formula is impeccable, as I've come to expect from MAC's red lipsticks. Petite Red wore for six and a half hours without feathering or being drying.
Acai
Acai is described as a 'vivid deep violet' in a Matte finish. This is Rebel's matte, slightly purpler cousin, a sister from another mister if you will. ColourPop LBB Lippie Stix would also be very comparable. It wore for seven and a half hours on me without being drying and was mostly a stain by the end of wear.
