Today's MAC Monday pick may give you a sense of deja vu, and I wouldn't be surprised. MAC Hipness blush comes back to life more often than Jon Snow, appearing in the following collections (that I know of): MAC For Fafi (2008), To The Beach (2010), which is the iteration I have, and more recently Wash & Dry (2015). MAC decided to make the Wash & Dry version darker, more matte and harder to blend - not sure why they decided to shoot themselves in the foot there! They were already onto a good thing - this version of Hipness is gorgeous.
The To the Beach packaging was split into two colours; half the products were this seaweed green and the other half were a medium orange and everything had ivory sea-themed prints adorning it.
Hipness is described as an 'intense coral with soft white pearl' and has a Frost finish. The colour pay off is buildable and even, blending out easily on the skin without emphasizing texture, as frost finishes are sometimes prone to do. It lasted eight hours on me in total, beginning to look faint at the seven hour mark.
Here I'm wearing Hipness with ColourPop Double Dip, the Makeup Revolution contour palette and LORAC TANtalizer Baked Bronzer.
What I liked:
- Lasts eight hours
- Buildable and even colour pay off
- Flatters skin
- Blends out easily
What I didn't like:
- Nothing!
