A while ago, I was contacted about a new beauty e-store called Things Of Beauty Boutique, run by Anne-Marie. Anne-Marie has been reading and commenting on my posts for a while now so I was really excited to hear from her and about her new venture! Things of Beauty Boutique is a New Zealand based site with a small but growing selection of makeup, skincare, jewellery and accessories, all very well priced and with excellent customer service. Anne-Marie sent me a couple of J.Cat Eternal Shine Lip Glazes to try and a beautiful semi-precious stone necklace.
The J.Cat Eternal Shine Lip Glazes are sheer glosses in a huge 36-strong shade range. The packaging is fairly standard, a medium sized tube with a standard doe foot applicator.
Swatched on bare skin under daylight bulbs
The formula of the Lip Glazes is smooth with only the slightest hint of tackiness, and they bear a very light mint scent. They'd make lovely layering glosses, especially to add a little hydration to drier lipstick formulas, as on their own the Lip Glazes are very moisturizing. Their colour pay off is sheer and even.
Carnation is a light coral with fine silvery shimmer. It gathers into my lip lines very slightly, but this was barely noticeable in person and to be expected from a pale, milky gloss. It lasted three hours on me.
Vermillion is decidedly not vermillion, instead it's a pretty medium pink with stronger colour pay off than Carnation. It had slightly longer lasting power too, clocking four hours wear.
Anne-Marie also sent me this pretty semi-precious stone necklace; although I don't see anything similar to it on the website, there are several other lovely pieces - I particularly like the Moon & Rock necklace. This necklace is pretty, delicate and seems well made, I really like it!
Have you tried J.Cat Beauty Lip Glazes before? You can check them out at Things of Beauty Boutique for a mere $7NZD a pop!
