Happy Saturday folks! I have four beautiful shades from Australis's Colour Inject lipstick range to share with you today.
These have recently been revamped with new straight tubes, bold metallic labels and clear caps at the ends to show the colour inside. I had no problem with the old Colour Inject packaging but I really like the changes. You can see the previous packaging in this old blog post.

Formula overview:
The Color Inject Mineral formula is light and creamy with varying colour opacity across the range. It seems Australis really reduced the amount of scent alongside the packaging makeover - my older tubes have a traditional sweet and powdery lipstick scent but with these new ones it's barely detectable. Great news for anyone who dislikes scented cosmetics or old school lipstick scent!
Most of the shades have decent colour pay off, with some being a bit on the patchy side. None of them feathered or migrated and most of them were not drying. They typically feel very light on the lips, with all but Mo Town, I almost forgot I was wearing lipstick.

Mo Town
Mo Town is a cool lavender with lovely colour pay off and smooth application. It wears for three hours on me and is somewhat drying. Mo Town reminds me a lot of MAC Pink Plaid, just with more purple leanings.
*
Mash Up
Mo Town is a vibrant orchid shade. It's very pigmented with a creamy finish and lasts really well - five hours without feathering, and it isn't drying either.
*
Cha Cha
Cha Cha is a classic blue based red with semi opaque colour pay off - you can see the translucency more at the edges of my lips. I do wish it was a little more saturated, because sheer reds aren't really my jam, but it's still a lovely lipstick. I got five hours wear without any feathering or drying.

Grunge
Grunge is a shade I've had my eye on for a very long time, so I was very eager to try it out! It's a vampy deep plum with semi opaque colour pay off. I found Grunge to be a bit patchy and difficult to even out, which is always frustrating with an attention grabbing shade like this. Grunge wore for just under six hours, wasn't drying and didn't feather.
What I liked:
- Mash Up, Cha Cha and Grunge wore for five to six hours
- Mash Up, Cha Cha and Grunge aren't drying
- Very subtle scent
- None of them feathered, bled or migrated
- Light weight, creamy formula
- Grunge is patchy
- Mo Town is somewhat dryingWhere to buy:
