Star Kin Nail Polish Swatch Spam!

Hey lovelies,

You know what I haven't done in way too long? A nail polish swatch spam post! Let's put that right now with one of my favourite brands of all time, Star Kin :) My index nail is sadly letting down the team at the moment so these are older swatches... perhaps they'll shame my index nail into growing faster?

Pink of Spades

Pink of Spades, 3 coats

Pink of Spades is a grey crelly packed with different shades of matte pink glitter and of course the clincher, bright pink spades! Ami warned me that this one might lead me a merry chase fishing for glitter, but I actually didn't have any trouble at all, landing three spades on one nail with no fishing required.

Purks of the Job

Purks of the Job, 3 coats

Found the perfect way to get thermals to work and enjoy a cheeky tipple :D

Purks of the Job is a pink to lavender thermal with a strong effect and perfect gradient. The glitter mix is pastel and gorgeous, containing blue and aqua circles, pink hexes and squares, purple hexes and silver holo. I did find the glitter content to be a bit dense, making the polish a little thick overall, but nothing thin coats and a generous helping of topcoat can't fix. I'm super in love with Purks of the Job!

Cotton

Cotton, 3 coats

Cotton is a very cute and soft pale blue flecked with royal blue and holo shimmer. It is a little streaky and would fare better over a ridge filling base coat; you can see in the swatches that there are some bald patches where my ridges are.

Cravin' Mad

Lime Crime - Pastelchio, 3 coats

Cravin Mad, 1 coat

Cravin Mad is a bit of a party in a bottle! Very easy to work with, no dabbing required, just a whole lot of fun.

Magic

Magic, 4 coats

Magic is one of Ami's cult favourite shades and yet it slipped under my radar for an embarassingly long time. Rest assured that I saw the error of my ways as soon as I put it on my nails. Look at it. LOOK AT IT. It's just perfect. A little sheer, but this lets you easily create a jelly sandwich in a bottle effect and it builds up nicely. No fishing or dabbing needed.

Thparkly

Thparkly, 3 coats

I want my nails to be this length again *glares at nails*. Thparkly is a ridiculously gorgeous orchid glassfleck with hints of gold and copper and a smooth buildable formula. I don't know how Ami does it. Sometimes our conversations seem to go like this:

But guys, SHE IS ACTUALLY A WIZARD. Of polish.

Seche Vite

Eva is a sheer purple jelly filled with green and holo glitter and was named after Peacock Pie's cat Eva. It took me a while to decide on undies that would co-ordinate with both the purple tint and the magical glitter mix but I finally found it in Purple Effect. A match made in heaven!

Star Kin has been on hiatus for a bit but Ami has posted a teaser for her return on the Every Sensory and Star Kin Facebook page. I'm so excited! My Star Kin stash needs some new friends! :D
