Hey lovelies,
If you're a fan of easy to throw on and go lip glosses, Essence XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss in #02 Coral Delight may be right up your alley.
Essence have a couple of lipgloss lines, but the XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss is said to provide:
Longlasting shine without drying! XXXL longlasting lipglosses are moisturizing with a mirror shine finish. Available in 10 longlasting matte and shiny shades.
I'm going to take the use of 'matte' here to mean 'creme' because they are all glossy :)
The XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss has a slightly curved doefoot applicator to hug your lips during application and comes in a sturdy plastic tube.
Coral Delight is a sheer coral with gold shimmer. The pinkness of my lips makes the gloss pull a little pinker overall on me, so you may have different results depending on your natural lip colour. It has a very smooth formula, is somewhat hydrating and has minimal tackiness. I quite like the scent, which is sweet and sugary with a hint of caramel but is not overpowering. Coral Delight lasted for two hours on me, after which the colour had mostly faded and a little shine remained, so I wouldn't agree with the long lasting claim - I can usually get at least three hours from other glosses. Still, it's a really cute colour with a pleasant to wear formula and at $5.20 it's not going to break the bank if you have to reapply it more often.
What I liked:
- Smooth, even colour pay off
- Lightly hydrating
- Not too tacky
- Wallet friendly - $5.20NZD RRP
- Sweet scent
What I didn't like:
- Not long wearing as described
