Notoriously Morbid June 2016 Vanishing Cabinet Swatches & Review

Goodness me, three VC posts in a week, could I be getting my mojo back? We're up to the June 2016 Vanishing Cabinet now, which was inspired by the cult movie Jawbreaker. It's been a few years since I've seen it but I remember enjoying it and it was fun to revisit it while hunting down gifs for this post!

About the subscription:
The Vanishing Cabinet is a monthly subscription service from US based indie brand Notoriously Morbid. The amount of products included seems to vary, but there's typically three to four products in each and occasionally six in special VCs. It's $13.25USD within the US and $20USD for international (including shipping), so a very reasonable monthly treat! You can sign up for the wait list here or purchase a one month trial (while available) here. Overstock is occasionally posted here.

Extra Fancy is a medium peach with gold sparkles. Predictably, I love this. It's easy to wear and the formula leaves nothing to be desired; it's buttery, pigmented and holds its own without a base.

I've used My Log Saw Something That Night on the outer two thirds of the lid and lower lashline, Doll's Eye on the crease and He's Going Through Changes on the transition. Extra Fancy was used on the inner third of the lid, Osteomancy highlighter on the inner corner and I foiled Scotland the Brave for eyeliner. The lashes are these ones from Born Pretty Store.

Demented is a bright lime green with gold shimmer. I like how it matches Marcie's green top almost exactly! I really enjoy this colour but I do feel that it needs a sticky base to shine. I used it without one in the look below and you can see that it lacks the saturation that the swatch over the base has.

Here, I used Demented on the inner third of lower lashline, Lizard Man on lid and lower lashline, Mother & Earth (original release) on outer V and to darken outer third of lower lashline, Osteomancy highlighter on inner corner, So Goes My Nation on browbone, He's Going Through Changes for transition. The lashes are Ebay faux mink in the style A19.

Satan in Heels is a bright royal purple with red shimmer. This is such a fun shade of purple and it performed beautifully, too.

Here, I've used Sister Solstice (over a sticky base) on the inner third of the lid and on the inner corner (without a base), It's Not Raining In Here on the centre of the lid, Satan in Heels on the outer third of the lid and on the lower lashline and Logic Boy on the crease. The lashes are Ardell Demi Wispies.

Peachy F****** Keen

Notoriously Morbid Peachy F****** Keen Lip Scrub Review

Peachy F****** Keen is a tropical and peach scented sugar lip scrub with rainbow specks mixed into it. It smells (and tastes, I'm not embarrassed to admit) amazing and does the job well. Mine is going strong still so while I don't really neeeed more, I still hope more lip scrubs are released someday

I really enjoyed this VC! The colours were all to my taste and the lip scrub was a great bonus, plus Carrie nailed her inspiration. What do you think of this set?
