ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips - Tiny Chum, Bijou and Lock Diary Swatches & Review

I'm sneaking in with another round of ColourPop lip products that went on Last Call recently! These three Ultra Satin Lips are from two different collections: Holiday 2016 and Hello Kitty, and they're all still in stock, if you've been contemplating a last minute purchase!

Ultra Satins are generally packaged identically to the Ultra Mattes except for the differing text on the side of the tube. These three are in special packaging but the permanent range usually has plain silver caps. The tube is long and slim with a small doefoot applicator that I find really easy to control. Formula-wise, these are thicker than the Ultra Mattes, they spread across the lips easily and have a light, chemical-y scent.

Tiny Chum

Tiny Chum is described as a 'soft mauve'. There's a slightly greyed out vibe going on here but it's not overwhelming, which I really like - it's just enough to make it pretty unique in my collection. Tiny Chum's colour payoff is excellent and it wears like a dream, lasting seven hours on me without being drying. Oddly, it stains bright pink, so that's something to be aware of if you dislike staining lip colours.

Bijou

Bijou is described as a 'dusty orchid'. Purples can be so hit or miss in terms of formula but Bijou is top notch! Gorgeous, opaque colour and seven hours wear. Like Tiny Chum, it wasn't drying but did stain hot pink.

Lock Diary

Lock Diary is described as 'a deep fuchsia'. This is not a unique colour (though no less fabulous for it) but Lock Diary's formula makes it well worth trying, especially if it's the kind of pink you wear often. Matching Bijou and Tiny Chum for consistency, it lasted seven hours and wasn't drying. I didn't notice any staining with this colour, which seemed kind of ironic given that it was the only truly pink shade of the three!

What I liked:
  • Great colour payoff
  • They last for seven hours on me
  • Smooth, easy application
  • Non drying
What I didn't like:
  • Tiny Chum and Bijou stain hot pink - though this doesn't bother me a whole heap, it may be a deal breaker for others.
Where to buy:
Have you tried any of these Ultra Satins? Will you be grabbing them before they're gone?
