ZA Vibrant Moist Lipstick - RS444 and RD555 Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

Fresh on ZA counters today is a new formula that I'm really enjoying and am excited to share with you! Their new Vibrant Moist range offers richer colour pay off than their other lipstick lines (Plumper Lips and Pure Shine), smooth texture and comfortable wear. There are 15 shades in total with a recommended retail price of $18NZD. I have two shades to swatch for you today.

The packaging of these lipsticks is like a optical illusion to me, a square tube with an angled top which makes my eyes think the square is twisting as it reaches the cap. Mike says I'm crazy and has better depth perception than me, so maybe he's onto something there... 

Anyway, they're shiny and black and pink, topped with the ZA logo. The packaging feels sturdy, luxurious and sleek.

The Vibrant Moist formula is intended to:

• Provide intense moisture retention
• Provide smooth texture
• Prevent dryness and flaky lips
• Brighten dull lips and achieve vibrant colours

RS444

 

RS444 is a warm honeysuckle pink with great colour pay off and a glossy finish. It wore for five hours on me and was very comfortable, lightly hydrating even. It left behind some minimal staining. I was really impressed with smoothly this applied, I like it way more than I thought I would.

RD555

RD555 is a glossy red with brick undertones.The colour pay off is even with a glossy finish and a smooth application. I experienced a very small amount of feathering and fading after a few hours with this shade, with RD555 lasting four hours in total without drying out my lips. This is a lovely classic shade which I'll pair with a lipliner next time I wear it, but it should be noted that I am quite prone to feathering, so if you don't have this issue, you may not need the lipliner.

What I liked:

• Great colour pay off
• They apply smoothly without emphasizing any flaws
• Somewhat hydrating formula, lips never feel dry wearing them
• RS444 does not feather
• They do not migrate or gather around the inner part of your mouth

What I didn't like:

• RD555 feathered a tiny bit on me after a few hours
