Lust Have It February 2016 Unboxing & Review

Lust Have It's February box was one of my favourites to date! Bold lips, great mascara, lovely skincare, all in one inexpensive package? Heck yes!

Lust Have It are an Aussie based beauty subscription box company that promise to send out 5 to 6 samples in their monthly Beauty Box for $19.95AUD with a $2.95 postage charge. The contents are a surprise, with Lust Have It aiming to provide you with an assortment of items you might not necessarily have picked up yourself (but will hopefully enjoy!).

Let's kick things off with the Mellow Cosmetics lipstick, Atomic Rose. Subscribers could receive either a lipstick or a blush from Mellow in their box, which was randomly selected, and although I'll never say no to a good blush, I'm so happy I got this lipstick. Atomic Rose is a warm orange-red with intense, creamy colour pay off, just my kind of colour and formula. The sad news is that this line of lipsticks appears to be discontinued! There's a new Creamy Matte Lipstick range available instead but Atomic Rose unfortunately isn't one of the shades. This definitely has me interested in trying more from Mellow at least!

We're two for two with the cosmetic items this month! This Be A Bombshell Silhouette mascara has fast made its way into my routine too, delivering lift, volume and inky lashes. It comes in two colours: Nightfall (black, pictured) and Bourbon (brown). It doesn't flake or smudge either. Highly recommended!

Moving onto some skincare and a fragrance sample from The Body Shop: I tried out the Italian Summer Fig Eau De Toilette when it was included in the Lust Have It Summer & Beauty box, and as I said then, this is a lovely option for summer as it's very light and fresh without being overly sweet.

I've been enjoying the Vitamin E Moisture Cream too, it's exactly what I like in a moisturizer: rich enough to deeply hydrate my skin, but not greasy or heavy in the slightest. The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil is a winner too, it feels so silky and nourishing going on and absorbs quickly so there's no slick feeling left on the skin.

And finally the only item in the box that wasn't really my cup of tea, Lanolips Golden Ointment. It's not you, Lanolips, it's me. I just can't get into the smell of lanolin, or the lingering stickiness that hangs around for at least twenty minutes after application. I know Lanolin is a wonderful protectant and moisturiser; it's one of the ingredients in my favourite lip balm, Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm, but there it's disguised with fragrance/flavour and tempered with other ingredients. Golden Ointment works well to hydrate and protect, as long as you don't mind the texture and long dry down.
