Hey lovelies,
I was delighted to have my first Lust Have It box arrive on my doorstep last week - the subscription box trend, with the exception of indie makeup companies, has largely passed me by and I was curious to see what all the fuss was about. Lust Have It promises to send 5 to 6 samples per subscription box for $19.95AUD (including shipping!). The contents are a surprise, with Lust Have It aiming to provide you with an assortment of items you might not necessarily have picked up yourself (but will hopefully enjoy!). Sort of a 'I didn't know how much I needed this until I had it' thing!
Semi related; I asked for an electric mixer for my birthday, which I received and have been using constantly. So much baking! Everytime I start baking something, I think 'I could mix this by hand..... but HELL YEAH ELECTRIC MIXER! HAND MIXING IS FOR PLEBS!'. Definitely didn't know how much I needed one until I had it :D
This month's theme was Head Over Heels - things to cover you from head to toe! It contains five full size products, which really impressed me - I recently decluttered over seventy foil samples, because I just don't get through them. The last thing I want is to be swamped with more of those little buggers! In this box you'll find:
- Teeez Trend Cosmetics - Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick RRP $32AUD
I'll talk about this a little more below! - NAK - Thermal Shield RRP $25.95AUD
I always use a heat protectant before styling my hair, but have found that I really don't like the kind that give any hold - alas, NAK Thermal Shield is that kind, so I won't get a lot of use from it. That's really a matter of personal preference though - if you like a lot of hold from your hair styling products, you'll like this. - Chapstick - Hydration Lock RRP $4.99AUD
I'll talk about this a little more below! - The Cosmetic Kitchen - Peppermint Foot Mask RRP$24.95AUD
I haven't tried either of these The Cosmetic Kitchen products yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. The Foot Mask looks pretty economical, only taking one teaspoon of the mask to make enough for an application. It instructs you to mix it with coconut oil (and water) and I don't currently have any coconut oil my cupboard, so I'll have to pick some up before I can try it. - The Cosmetic Kitchen - Wake Up Body Scrub RRP $29.95AUD
A dry scrub? What is this sorcery? I'm super intrigued. Again, I'm yet to use this so I will have to report back. Like many coffee scrubs, it has a short shelf life, with the packaging saying it needs to be discarded after three months. Hopefully I can use it up in time!
I was pleased to see this cool new Hydration Lock Chapstick in this month's box because I can never have too much lip balm! One side is supposed to 'hydrate and smooth' while the other 'locks in moisture for up to 8 hours'. I've been using it for the past week and I can't say I notice a difference in the moisturising properties of the different sides - this is more of a gimmick than an amazing breakthrough product. The one difference I do notice? The hydrating & smoothing side smells fruity, while the moisture lock side smells like vanilla. Overall, this is a lightly hydrating balm, nice to have, but not something I would worry about repurchasing.
And a lipstick! It's like Lust Have It know me :D This comes from Teeez Cosmetics Eve's Ready to Wear lipstick line; I got the shade Classy Caramel but various colours were available. I'll have a full review and swatches up as soon as I can but my first impressions are good: Classy Caramel has great colour pay off and a light, creamy texture with minimal scent. Stay tuned!

All things considered, I'm pretty pleased with my first Lust Have It Box. If you'd like to try it out for yourself, you can use the code LANILOVES1 to get $5 off your first month at www.lusthaveit.com.au/ :)
