Hey lovelies,
Good morning! If you're feeling as bleary eyed as I probably am on day two of our road trip, you may want to reach for a highlighter to perk up that complexion! And luckily, I have a wallet friendly option to show you :)
The ELF Studio blush line come in matte black compacts with a small mirror and a clear window to allow you to see the colour inside easily. I sort of wish ELF had chosen to skip the mirror or the clear window rather than squeezing both in, because the mirror is a fraction too small to be truly useful.
Gotta Glow is an ivory shade with strong gold shimmer. It's said to be a dupe for NARS Albatross, althought I don't own it to compare. It reminds me of MAC Vanilla pigment.
Although Gotta Glow is part of the blush line, it's very clearly intended for highlighting and highlight it does! Gotta Glow has great colour pay off and can be applied sheerly or intensely, depending on your preference and of course your makeup brush of choice. I apply it with a NARS Yachiyo dupe which diffuses it beautifully.
Texture wise, Gotta Glow tends to be quite powdery, kicking up a lot of excess product in the pan but I didn't find that it appeared overly powdery on the skin. It emphasises pores a tiny bit, but nothing too major, and lasts for around six hours on me before beginning to fade.
What I liked:
- Great colour pay off
- Blends beautifully and be applied sheerly or more intensely
- Lasts six hours
- Quite powdery; kicks up a lot of excess product in the pan
