Missha Eyeshadows - Satin Touch Shadow #5 Sand Brown, Shine Pearl Shadow GBR01 and Triple Perfection Shadow #4 Chocolate Brown Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

If you're looking for some bargainous wearable eyeshadows then you're in luck! I have some gorgeous eyeshadows from Missha to share with you today.

Sand Brown is a warm golden tan shimmer. Don't be fooled by the rubbish swatch above - I found it to be unusually difficult shade to swatch, but when applied it's lovely.

Triple Perfection Shadow #4 Chocolate Brown is a great workhorse - everything you need for a neutral eyeshadow look in one pan! The left hand shade is a champagne frost, the centre is a golden tan similar to Sand Brown and the right hand shade is a deep brown pearl.

GBR01 is a pale golden peach glitter. It's absolutely beautiful to look at in the pan but the pay off isn't great. You'd need to really pack it on to get it looking like it does in the pan, which is a shame.

Here are some looks I've done with these eyeshadows:

Missha Satin Touch Shadow #5 Sand Brown all over lid/lower lashline, Triple Perfection Shadow - #4 Chocolate Brown - darker shade in crease/outer corner of lower lash line, lighter shade as highlight.

Missha Satin Touch Shadow #5 Sand Brown all over lid/lower lashline, Triple Perfection Shadow - #4 Chocolate Brown - centre shade all over lid, lighter shade to highlight and Shine Pearl Shadow GBR01 all over lid.

Full FOTDs for both of these looks are here.

What I liked:
  • Sheer, even colour great for subtle washes and day make up - I don't believe these are intended to be ultra pigmented but they do build up nicely.
  • Great price point! I bought these at the Missha counter in Auckland, and thought everything was really reasonably priced, especially considering the cost of cosmetics in NZ (my favourite example being a MAC lipstick costing $16USD which equates to about $20NZD, but the NZ retail price is $40NZD). The Satin Touch eyeshadow was $12.50, the Triple Perfection was $15 and the Shine Pearl shadow was $12.50. I couldn't find the palette listed on the Missha NZ website, but I believe it was around $25. Of course you can find them listed even cheaper on Ebay and Roseroseshop.

What I didn't like:
  • GBR01 is almost imperceptible when applied (unless you really pack it on).
