It's high time I reviewed some more Notoriously Morbid eyeshadows! NM is one of my favourite indie brands and I'm also fortunate to work with them as a promo girl, so I've accumulated quite a few over the past year.
There are plenty of eyeshadow sizing options to suit everyone's preferences and budget. The sample size ($1.25USD) contains approx. 1/4 tsp of product in baggie, the mini-size ($2.75USD) has approx. 1/3 tsp of product in a 3g jar, the full size ($5.50USD) has approx. 1/2 to 3/4 tsp of product in a 5g jar and finally, the deluxe size ($7.50USD) has approx. 1 to 1 1/4 tsp of product in a 10g jar. Personally, I always opt for the mini size, except where full size is the only option, as I find jars easier to use than baggies and it's rare for me to finish an eyeshadow!
Formula overview:
I really enjoy Notoriously Morbid's eyeshadow formula. They're easy to work with, blend well, and are often completely unique to what's being put out by mainstream brands. Some shades, especially the more glittery ones perform best over a sticky base but can certainly be used on their own.
Swatch notes:
All eyeshadow swatches in this post are done two ways: applied on bare skin on the left hand side and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, a sticky eyeshadow base which maximises colour intensity and sparkle, on the right. This is so you can see how they perform both ways. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.

Head Key
Head Key (permanent) is described as a 'semi-metallic rose-gold that leans more pink and has a ton of golden shimmer.' I've mostly used this as an inner corner highlight to date (which I always apply dry) but I really need to give it a crack on the lid with a sticky base soon too - check out how sparkly that right hand swatch is! Head Key performs much better than mainstream eyeshadows with a similar glitter-imbued finish, even without a sticky base I don't experience fallout. It comes from the Alpha & Omega collection which is based on Joe Hill's Locke & Key comic book series.
Eye of the Tiger
Eye of the Tiger (permanent) is described as 'a gilded orange with purple and gold flecks'. It comes from the Winchester Gospels collection (based on Supernatural) and represents Dean's fighting spirit. The description is spot on, if you love warm bronze eyeshadows you'll definitely want to check this out.
Give the Devil His Due
Give the Devil His Due (December 2015 COTM) was described as 'a burnt gold with red sheen and sparkle.' It's a total glitterbomb and absolutely needs an adhesive base to lock all that sparkle in place but it's SO worth it. I'm so glad I was able to pick it up!
I've used Give the Devil His Due on the inner half of the lid for this look, with Eye of the Tiger on the outer half and on the lower lashline over smudged out liner. I used Mister Unlucky (November 2015 Vanishing Cabinet) on the crease and He's Going Through Changes for the transition. The inner corner highlight is Owl and the lashes are Sarah Jean SJ001s.
Plant
Plant (permanent) is a 'deep green with green shimmer'. It gets the most colour pay off with a sticky base and is a bit more subdued without it (applied dry on my lower lashline in the look below), although still very pretty. Like Head Key, it comes from the permanent Alpha & Omega collection.
I've used Plant on the outer half of the lower lashline and outer third of the lid here, with Take A Chance (August 2015 Vanishing Cabinet) on the centre of the lid and Brad Power (August 2015 VC) on the inner third of the lid. I used Gypsy Curse and Mayor Monster on the crease and He's Going Through Changes for the transition and finally, Crybaby (May 2016 VC) on the inner corner. I also used Teeez Sea Glare on the inner half of the lower lashline. The lashes are Ldianer 208 'mink' lashes from Ebay

Skunk Ape
Skunk Ape (permanent) is described as 'a deep orange with intense green shift and silver sparkle'. It comes across as a warm medium brown rather than an orange base to me, but I'm not arguing about the rest of the description - that green shift and sparkle are amazing! I used it dry on the lower lashline in the look below so you can see how well the shift still shows up without a primer or base, the formula is excellent. Skunk Ape is part of the ongoing State of Fear collection, which features mythological creatures from each of America's 50 states.
Here I used Skunk Ape on the lower lashline, I Hate You on the lid, Mister Unlucky (November 2015 VC) on the crease, He's Going Through Changes for the transition and He's Not Coming to the Meeting (What We Make in the Shadows Black Friday 2015 collection) on the inner corner. The lashes are these ones from Born Pretty Store and the eye pencil is MAC Chlorafill.
