Hello lovelies! I'm back again with another set of Darling Girl eyeshadows to share with you. Sometimes I feel guilty of doing the same eyeshadow look/placement over and over again so it's good to see evidence that I can mix it up sometimes in the looks above. My favourite is the far right - what about you?
Darling Girl's eyeshadows come in a few different sizing options: full sizes are packaged in 5g jars with approximately 3/4 tsp of product ($6USD). Petits are packaged in 3g jars with approximately 1/4 tsp of product ($2.50USD). You can also try a sample set, which includes 4 shades of your choosing in baggies, each containing 1/8th tsp for $5USD. I've gone down that route many times as you can get samples of any eyeshadows, Diamond Dusts, Spectral Shifts or loose blushes, excellent if you want a great cross section of colours and formulas to try!
Formula overview:
Darling Girl's eyeshadow formula is incredibly consistent. I've never come across a dud in the range (and like I said, I've accumulated an embarrassing amount); they are, on the whole, very pigmented and easy to work with. Some shades, especially the more glittery ones perform best over a sticky base but can certainly be used on their own.
Swatch notes:
All eyeshadow swatches in this post are done two ways: applied on bare skin on the left hand side and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, a sticky eyeshadow base which maximises colour intensity and sparkle, on the right. This is so you can see how they perform both ways. I take all of my photos with daylight bulbs for colour accuracy.

He Slimed Me
He Slimed Me (permanent) is from the Who Ya Gonna Call? (Ghostbusters themed) collection. It's described as a 'a brilliant chartreuse with a green/gold shift and pink sparkles'. Over a sticky base it takes on a sickly hue, which I'm honestly really digging in chartreuse shades at the moment. The sparkle is beautiful and the eyeshadow performs well. Definitely one to check out if you enjoy these kinds of greens.
Just Harried
Just Harried (discontinued) was part of the Charmed collection, My Three Witches. It's a light tan with gold and silver sparkles which I love as a lid shade, but it'd be a beautiful inner corner highlight too. I hope Susan comes out with something similar again one day.
Married to the Macabre
Married to the Macabre (permanent) is part of the Queens of Scream collection. I'm too much of a wimp to recognise most of the scream queens represented in the collection, but I do love a good green and Married to the Macabre definitely fits that bill! It's a glowing green in a cool brown base and shifts between the two readily on the lid. The green is most visible over a sticky base but it can certainly be used without one. Top points for blendability, too!
Here I used Just Harried on the inner half of the lid, Married to the Macabre on the outer half of the lid and #breaktheinternet and Kilt-y Pleasures to blend out and for the crease. I also used Kilt-y Pleasures on the outer half of the lower lashline, coupled with He Slimed Me on the inner half. Bubbles was used on the inner corner and the limited edition Liquid Stardust shade Thin White Duke was patted on the centre of the lid. The lashes are these ones from Born Pretty Store.
Provoke
Provoke (discontinued) is a light sandy gold with copper/peach sheen. It was created to be a dupe for MAC Vex for Mandy of the sadly now defunct Prettymaking blog, which is actually how I first discovered Darling Girl! It's a great multi-purpose shade and the colour shift is really pretty. Wish I'd bought back ups!
I used Provoke all over the lid here with If I Only Had A Heart on the inner corner and #breaktheinternet and Kilt-y Pleasures for blending and the crease. I used London Baby! over smudged black liner on the lower lashline and foiled Smelly Cat with Superstar Serum for the liner. The lashes are these ones from Born Pretty Store.
Tiny Dancer
Tiny Dancer (past GWP) is a light pink with cool blue shimmer and added sparkle. Perfectly glowy as an inner corner highlight and the formula is wonderful. Susan really does light pinks well. Fingers crossed this is an option if she does another Pink Friday sale.
I've used Tiny Dancer on the inner corner here, with Wood Sprite Diamond Dust on the lower lashline. I also used some Maybelline Color Tattoos on the lid, crease and for liner and topped everything off with Ardell Demi Wispies.
