Darling Girl released an absolutely massive collection for the holidays and it's taken me a fair while to work my way through trying and testing everything but I think you'll agree it's worth the wait :D Snow In Love is inspired by the classic Tim Burton film Edward Scissorhands and it's quite the homage, spanning twelve eyeshadows, two Baby Blushes, a Lip Conditioner and two Pucker Paints. I have the Baby Blushes and Lip Conditioner to show you today.
A quick note - Susan at Darling Girl recently announced that she will begin seasonally retiring the holiday collections and bringing them back at later dates. Snow in Love will be available in the shop until the end of month and return next holiday season.
Baby Blushes ($11USD) come in a squeeze tube with a doefoot applicator wand. This doubles your application options as not everyone is keen to apply the same product to their lips and cheeks, so Darling Girl suggest squeezing product directly from the tube in this case. Otherwise, simply dab the doefoot applicator on cheeks and blend out with a brush or fingers - I like the ELF stippling brush but it works just as well with your fingers.
The formula is such that it doesn't displace your base products when you blend with your fingers the way some cream blushes do. The doefoot applicator makes it super easy to apply Baby Blush evenly and precisely to lips, I did use lip brushes for these swatches because they're samples, but have had no trouble applying neat from the tube with my full size Baby Blush.
Formula overview:
Most shades are highly pigmented yet can be sheered out readily, making them very versatile: gradient lip, tint effect, full colour or sheered out, they work wonderfully for lots of styles. Baby Blushes have an orange scent which is very strong, and while I do like oranges, I wish the scent was a bit more subdued. Unfortunately this isn't possible as orange peel wax and oil are some of the main ingredients. I don't notice the fragrance much past application when worn on my cheeks, but worn on the lips, it does linger quite a lot - unsurprisingly with it right under your nose! I don't find them drying and wear time tends to be average (around 4 hours) on the lips but excellent on cheeks with the opaque shades (nine + hours). Snuggle In Sweetie, the sole translucent shade, had a much shorter wear time at five hours.
Snuggle In Sweetie, It's Cold Out There is described as a 'sparkling, frosty white with a plethora of blue frostbitten sparkles that leave an ethereal glow on your cheeks or lips.' I wore it as a highlight with Right Meow Baby Blush in the makeup looks below and you'll have to trust me when I say it is SO cool. The highlight was quite hard to capture on camera but is definitely more visible in person. I noticed this one felt a touch stickier on cheeks but not so much so that it was sticking to my hair or anything - it just didn't seem to set completely on my cheeks like my other Baby Blushes. Snuggle In Sweetie lasted for four hours on lips and just under five on cheeks.
Darn That Stuff! ($4USD) is a lip conditioner with a peach pie scent, and I mean seriously peach pie, with ripe, juicy peaches, the bite of spicy ginger and a creme brulee base all coming through strongly. Darling Girl recommend this as a mask or leave on lip treatment and it feels absolutely wonderful on the lips, it's incredibly hydrating.
Again, I have a sample clamshell, but the full size products is an oval lip balm tube with special artwork.

Show & Tell
Show & Tell is described as a 'cran-cherry red'. It's incredibly pigmented for an opaque finish on lips yet it sheers out easily for a beautiful flush on cheeks. On my lips it lasted for four hours without feathering (always an impressive feat with anything super pigmented and glossy!) and had mostly worn down to a stain by the end of wear. When I wore it as a blush, Show & Tell lasted for nine hours.

What I liked:
- Show & Tell wore for nine hours on cheeks
- Snuggle in Sweetie and Show & Tell wore for four hours on lips
- Non drying formula - even lightly hydrating
- Darn That Stuff! Lip Conditioner feels great on lips, very hydrating
- Baby Blushes apply and blend beautifully
- Both Baby Blushes have excellent, even colour pay off.
- Snuggle in Sweetie wears for just five hours on cheeks
- Snuggle in Sweetie feels slightly sticky on cheeks
