Wet N Wild Haul + FOTD

Purchased by me/Contains affiliate links

Edit: This post is in the process of being updated with better, more accurate swatches. Thanks for your patience!

Hey lovelies,

Sorry there wasn't a post yesterday, we are having all kinds of technical troubles with our desktop. I thought it was all fixed last night but this morning the computer wouldn't launch Linux (my partner insists it is the superior OS, so that's what we run on the desktop). I managed to launch it in Windows, but it means I don't have access to all my files. Fortunately I thought to catch up on swatching and product photos yesterday and uploaded them to my Picasa web album before everything went kaput again!

Anyway, enough techno-babble. Today I'd like to share swatches of the Wet N Wild products I've been hauling lately. Wet N Wild isn't available in New Zealand for the most part, so getting my hands on these is super exciting! I already had a few Wet N Wild palettes (Greed, Pride and Vanity) so I was confident I'd like other products from their range. And I'm pleased to say I haven't been disappointed.

Wet n Wild Red Velvet, Cherry Bomb, Pinkerbell, Cherry Picking

I purchased four of the Wet n Wild Megalast matte lipsticks from Beautyjoint in a range of colours. Shipping was amazingly quick from Beautyjoint, I ordered these on Christmas Eve, and they were waiting for me when we arrived home from holiday on the 4th of January. Pretty good for international shipping over the holiday period in my opinion.

The formula is great on the colours I picked. The only one that had a little trouble with opacity is Cherry Bomb, but I'd wear lip liner under such a dark shade anyway, so I'm not too worried. Cherry Bomb is the only one of the four I haven't yet worn in a full make up look yet, so I can't tell you whether it bleeds or not yet unfortunately!

I have worn the three other colours however, and I've really enjoyed wearing them. Being matte, they do feel drying by the end of the day, but the wear time is great. Some of the shades are similar to others in my stash, but different enough to justify the additions. I don't have anything else like Pinkerbell, which was a nice surprise!

All swatches are shown without lip liner. I don't know what has happened to my lip swatch of Pinkerbell, but you can see me wearing it in a FOTD from last week below :)

Cherry Bomb reminds me of MAC Diva. I'll have to do a comparison post soon!

Wet n Wild Centrifuchsia lipstick

Cherry Picking is similar to Lime Crime Centrifuchsia, but darker and a little more red.

Red Velvet is a gorgeous pink leaning red, which reminds me of Revlon Strawberry Suede. I destashed Strawberry Suede but have regrets, so will probably replace it soon!

Finally, we have Pinkerbell. I did find Pinkerbell a little chalky looking upon first application, but this quickly faded as it warmed on my lips.

I'll definitely be buying more of the Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks. 24 Carrot Gold and Stoplight Red are sitting in my cart over at Beautyjoint waiting for me to pull the trigger. I'm also contemplating Just Peachy, Purty Persimmon and Rose-Bud. Have you tried anything from this lippy range?

I picked up the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette from a seller on Trade Me, Axemummy. I've bought Seche Vite from them in the past, their goods are well packaged, and they are always super efficient.

The quality of the palette is fabulous. The eyeshadows are soft and easy to blend, with great colour pay-off. So far I've been using the top 3 colours on the left for quick neutral make up, but I'm excited to create a look with the green shades. I'm dying to use the definer shade on the left too, check out those gorgeous copper sparkles!

I'm definitely keen for more Wet N Wild palettes. I've been desperately hunting for their LE Sparkle Til Morning palette on Ebay, but no one seems to be shipping it internationally :'(
Have you tried any Wet N Wild eyeshadows? Did you like them?
