ColourPop Super Shock Cheek - Wisp, Prenup, Jelly Fish and Drop of a Hat Swatches & Review

Have you been shopping ColourPop's recent 5 million followers promo? As is often the case with their big sales, it simultaneously tempted me and reminded me that I have products still waiting for their spotlight on the blog! So, after a smaaaall binge, I got down to work and have four Super Shock Cheek products to share with you today,

Formula overview:
The Super Shock Cheek blushes and highlighters share the same wet clay texture as ColourPop's Super Shock Shadows. Because of this consistency, it's important to keep the jars tightly closed when not in use to prevent them from drying out.
ColourPop recommend applying their Super Shock Cheek products with fingers for fuller coverage, or with a flat synthetic shader brush or duo fibre brush for a sheerer finish. I like using ELF's duo fibre stipple brush for a really airbrushed effect with the blushes and it works well for the highlighters too, but if you're craving maximum shine, try a dampened Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge or Beauty Blender. So. Much. Glow.

Wisp

Wisp is described as a 'golden champagne with gold pearls'. It's a well-established best seller for ColourPop that I've hoarded for two years (it's still as creamy as ever, flying in the face of ColourPop's one year shelf life), wanting to love the colour on me but I have to admit defeat. It's just a little darker than I'd prefer for a cheek highlight on my skin tone (MAC NC15), it would look amazing on medium-dark skin tones though. The formula is great too, pigmented and highly blendable. It lasts nine hours on me.

Prenup

Prenup is described as a 'mid-tone pale pink' and has a Satin finish. This is another one that has been lurking in my collection for ages but with happier results, I really enjoy this colour! It pulls notably warmer on my skin than in the pan, so no complaints from me there, and has held up well for being two years old. The only thing I've noticed is that the top layer seemed to oxidise a little at one point, turning more orange, but this wiped away easily and hasn't happened again. Random! As with Wisp, I have nothing bad to say about the formula, it's a gem and lasted nine hours on me.

Jelly Fish

Jelly Fish (discontinued) is described as 'bright red coral in a pearlized finish'. It was part of the highlighter range before being discontinued, which I always found kinda odd, because well... just look at that colour payoff! Way too intense for highlighting. Maybe it was intended as a highlighting blush hybrid. I don't know. The main thing is that I love it and the formula is once again wonderful, lasting eight hours on me.

Drop of a Hat is described as a 'pearlized peach with a gold duo chrome sheen'. This was released as part of the Nectar collection, if memory serves, but it's still on the site. It's the perfect peachy coral for that collection and gives a lovely glowy vibe without being overtly sparkly. It lasts ten hours on me.
