The Vanishing Cabinet is a monthly subscription service from US based indie brand Notoriously Morbid. The amount of products included seems to vary, but there's typically three to five products in each. It's $13.25USD within the US and $20USD for international (including shipping), so a very reasonable monthly treat! You can sign up for the wait list here or purchase a one month trial (while available) here. Overstock is occasionally posted here.
All swatches are applied to bare skin (on the left) and over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (on the right) using a patting motion and photographed under daylight bulbs.
The August 2015 Vanishing Cabinet theme, Moonlight and Magic, was based on the 80s flick Teen Witch. I've never seen it and from what I read, it sounds like I'm missing out on a cult classic! I'm hoping to watch it over the long weekend. Have you seen it?

Brad Power
Brad Power is a light green with gold sparkles in a mostly matte base. Over an adhesive base, it transforms into a bright grass green, with the gold sparkle showing up more strongly. It's such a pretty spring shade of green, but as matte-based eyeshadows can be inclined towards patchiness over sticky bases and Brad Power is quite sheer without one, I was a bit disappointed by it overall.
Take A Chance
Take A Chance is a medium teal blue with green shimmer and golden sparks that become more apparent over a sticky base. Very pretty and on par with Notoriously Morbid's usual excellent formula.
Top That
Top That is a warm lavender with green sheen. The change when it is applied over a sticky base is pretty radical, with the green coming through so strongly that it almost becomes taupey. The formula is great too, very smooth and blendable. Top That beat the warm bronzey-orange in this subscription to the favourite spot and as you know just how much I love bronze eye makeup, you'll know what a strong statement that is.
For this look I used Top That on the lid, Boca Del Infierno and 314 on the crease and lower lashline, Logic Boy for the transition and Pretentious Namesake on the inner corner. The lashes are these Red Cherry 217 dupes from Ebay.
Omni Suminaro
Omni Suminaro is a rusty orange peppered with heavy gold sparkle. It's absolutely gorgeous and one that I need to use again ASAP! I found it easy to work with both alone and over a base, no complaints about formula here.
I've used Omni Suminaro all over the lid with the Chi Chi Extravaganza palette for the rest of this look.
Hello Waffle 16th
Hello Waffle 16th is a cornflower blue with gold sheen and purple sparkles. Oh, how I wish blues suited me! 16th is my first eyeshadow from Hello Waffle and I am certain there will be more in my future. The formula is pigmented and easy to work with and the sparkle is so pretty. I have such a soft spot for a good cornflower, even though they look bollocks on me.
For this look, I've used ColourPop Vega on the inner half of the lid, Mooning on the outer half of the lid, Un on the inner corner, To-A-T for the transition and Hello Waffle 16th on the lower lashline. The lashes are Nouveau Lashes Volume Style 1 and on the waterline I've used MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Colour Stick in Frisky Blue.
Popular Girl
Popular Girl is a soft peach with a matte finish. I'd love to see this or something similar to it added to the permanent Diablo Lip Rouge range at some point, I absolutely love the colour! I found Popular Girl to be well pigmented with trouble-free application and a respectable five hour wear time, but it was clingy and drying for the duration.
