Cheap false eyelashes are so much better than they once were. The stiff, plasticky repetitive styles can still be found, of course, but for a little more spare change, you can now get fluttery, wispy lashes that are comfortable to wear for long periods and look gorgeous on. I picked up these 'Mink 3D Hair' lashes on Ebay for around $3.70NZD each and I'm completely in love with them. I'm hanging out to buy more but for now, I chose two styles I thought I'd like: A10 and A19.
These eyelashes come in a clear plastic case which slides open. I like that it's clear so I can easily see the style within and that they're well protected from dust or damage. The lashes themselves feel very well made and I've used them a couple of times each with no signs of wear and tear so far.
A10
The A10 style is wispy with moderate volume and quite a bit of length - they're a little too long for my hooded eyes, honestly, but I still like them. I love their eye-opening curl which adds to the 'too big' effect on me but will be absolutely gorgeous on someone with more lid space. I think the A03 style might be a more flattering length on me so that's next on my list to try!
In this look I've used ColourPop Paradox on the crease, Cornelious for the transition, Static on the outer V and lower lashline, MAC Rose pigment on the lid and inner third of lower lashline and MAC Vanilla pigment on the inner corner.
A19
Oh wow, do I love these. The A19 style, with its sweeping emphasis on the outer corner, is very flattering on my eye shape, elongating and opening up the eye. I've used them three times already and had to stop myself from reaching for them again over a new style today - they're just so good. You can bet I'll be buying several more pairs of this style!
For this look I've used Darling Girl Kilt-y Pleasures (new version) on the crease, Ugly Naked Guy for the transition, We Can't Kill People on the outer two-thirds of the lid and lower lashline, Possessed Princess on the inner third of the lid and lower lashline and Krampus on the inner corner.
