Wheeeeee, it's time to delve back into my hoard of unblogged ColourPop lipsticks (I have a ColourPop problem, okay?) and witness more of my unwavering obsession with the coral-orange spectrum. Yes, I'm predictable and no, I'm not sorry.
Formula overview:
The Lippie Stix formula seems to be divisive among makeup lovers but personally, on the whole I really enjoy it. I have a mixture of mattes and a Hyper Glossy in this selection and I've found the texture, pigmentation and application to be great across all formulas. The mattes have a very subtle tackiness and a smooth, slightly creamy texture. They can be a little firmer on the lips than some of ColourPop's other Lippie Stix finishes, but they don't drag or tug in any way. The Hyper Glossy finish is one I tend to struggle with, and I assume I wasn't the only one as it's been discontinued altogether - most of the colours I tried feathered terribly within half an hour of application, but Go Fish fortunately was not one of them.
They are all pretty forgiving of flaws, good news for those who struggle to keep pesky lip flakes away!
The Lippie Stix have a gorgeous chocolate chip cookie scent - it smells just like the Rainbowlicious Chocolate Chip scrub to my nose, which means I'm basically in heaven every time I pop the cap off one of these. SO good.

Chi Chi
Chi Chi is described as a 'bright true orange in a matte finish'. Holy wow, this is deliciously bright! Chi Chi is not a starter orange, you definitely have to be committed to the orange lipstick cause for this one. Fortunately, I am, 'so last season' claims be damned. Chi Chi lasts five and a half hours on me without feathering or drying out my lips.
Go Fish
Go Fish (discontinued) is described as a 'vibrant coral red with a Hyper Glossy finish'. It is indeed super glossy and has beautiful colour pay off. The other Hyper Glossy shades I've tried have been feathery messes, so I'm so glad this one worked out as the shade is by far my favourite of the Hyper Glossies I bought. It lasted for five hours without feathering and was somewhat clingy.
Clique
Clique is described as a 'vivid true orange red in a matte finish'. While Clique is bright, it's a smidge deeper, darker and redder in tone than Chi Chi - total justification for owning both, right there. It lasted for five and a half hours and wasn't drying.
Yasmin
Yasmin (discontinued) is described as an 'electric coral with a matte finish'. It's strongly on the orange side of coral (no complaints there though) and is vividly pigmented with a more matte finish and stiffer texture than Chi Chi and Clique. Yasmin wears for six hours on me and stains.
What I liked:
- Wear time ranged between five and six hours
- Non feathering
- Non drying
- Excellent colour pay off
