I've been exploring more of Darling Girl's broad product range recently. I post a lot of their lip products, but they are but a small part of the huge selection of handmade cosmetics on offer, including blush, bronzer, setting powders, primers, mixing mediums and highlighters. Since most of the face products are loose powders, I was initially a little nervous at the prospect of potential over application and additional mess, but after trying a few Darling Girl blushes, which are buildable and very blendable, those fears were largely put to rest. As a very pale person though, I have an intrinsic wariness of bronzer, so a small part of me did still worry.... let's see how Darling Girl's bronzer fared!
Bronzers come in two packaging options: Petits, which come in 3g jars and have about 1/4 teaspoon of product, and full size (pictured), which come in 10g sifter jars and have approximately a teaspoon of product. There was a sticker over the sifter holes when my parcel arrived, which prevented any leakage during transit very effectively.

Beach Baby is described as an 'earthy peach with a very soft golden undertone'. This is bronzer for people who are scared of bronzer and would be particularly suited to fairer complexions; it's not too dark, it's buildable and it's ultra blendable, so even if you do over-apply it's not too difficult to buff away any mistakes. In the pictures below I'm wearing Beach Baby in the classic 3 shape - along my hair line, lightly on cheekbones and along my jaw and I really like the effect. Beach Baby lasted just under eight hours on me.
What I liked:
- Blends easily
- Excellent colour pay off
- Wears for just under eight hours
What I didn't like:
- Nothing!
Where to buy:
- Darling Girl Cosmetics, $2.50USD for a Petit, $5.90USD for full size.
How are you liking Beach Baby?
