Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids - Fuchsia Flash, Vivid Rose, Neon Red, Hot Plum, Shocking Coral & Vibrant Mandarin Swatches & Review

Hey lovelies,

These poor lippies have been lingering in my drafts folder for far too long, even though I absolutely adore them! Today I'll be showing you my first 6 shades from Maybelline's popular Colorsensational Vivids line (because being me, I naturally had to accumulate more).

The Colorsensational Vivids line is packaged in translucent almost neon orange and silver. The lids close securely and the brightness makes them easy to spot in a cluttered makeup bag. I really like the design of these lipsticks, I can store them with the shade names upright to make them easily identifiable - you can see my lipstick storage here.

The first 6 shades I'm showing you are, from left to right: Fuchsia Flash, Vivid Rose, Neon Red, Hot Plum, Shocking Coral and Vibrant Mandarin

The formula on these lipstick is consistent; they all have spectacular, even colour pay off with a slight gloss to them. If they were MAC lipsticks they'd be Amplified or Amplified Creme finishes. I find them to be long wearing (4 hours or more) without being drying and they all leave a strong even stain. The only shade I experience feathering with is Neon Red, which is pretty par for course with me and reds, and can be kept in check with lipliner and concealer.

Hot Plum

Hot Plum is a hot pink with purple leanings. It read more pink than plum overall to me, but the purple tinge keeps it from being just another bright pink.

Shocking Coral

I seem to have misplaced my FOTD with Shocking Coral, sorry! It's a beautiful luminous pinky coral.

Fuchsia Flash

Fuchsia Flash is a cool blue toned pink - you know, the kind you think you'll never be able to pull off? But I absolutely adore it! It's such a fun colour to wear.

Vivid Rose

Vivid Rose is aptly named, a juicy deep pink. This is one of my favourite hues of pink for everyday wear, it goes with a lot and is easier to wear than the colour shy might think.

Vibrant Mandarin

Vibrant Mandarin is a glossy orange that pulls a little red. Another one I really love on my skintone.

Neon Red

And our final shade, Neon Red, is a glossy orange toned red. I don't really see any neon to this shade, but I like it nonetheless! 

What I liked:

• Great colour pay off
• Long lasting
• Not drying
• Leaves a strong even stain (this may be a con for some!)

What I didn't like:

• Neon Red feathers a little on me.
