Today I have one of Fyrinnae's most popular eyeshadows to show you, Mephisto. It's a stunning rich indigo with copper shimmer, incredibly different to anything else in my collection.
All of the Fyrinnae eyeshadows I purchased are minis; the mini eyeshadows are packaged in a clear screwtop jar with a label on the bottom. The regular eyeshadow minis contain 1/3 teaspoon of product.
Fyrinnae's description:
Mephisto is a deep royal blue with a vibrant metallic red sheen that's quite striking when the light hits it. Metallic finish, not sparkly. If the red goes somewhat coppery on application, add a little more. Not recommended over Pixie Epoxy.
I saw the recommendation about not using Mephisto with Pixie Epoxy - and did it anyway. Breaking the rules :D Swatched dry (left) and over Epoxy (right), photographed in sunlight. Dry, Mephisto is a matte indigo with copper shimmer. Over Epoxy, the copper shimmer dominates and the indigo base fades into the background, providing depth to the colour. Mephisto is fairly sheer dry, though this may be improved with a primer.
What I liked:
- Gorgeous, unique shade
- Looks different dry or over Epoxy (like two shadows in one!)
- Great price - the eyeshadow minis are $2.25USD (containing 1/3 teaspoon - I purchased all minis), full size jars are $6.25USD.
What I didn't like:
- A bit sheer when applied dry
Where to buy:
