Hey lovelies!
I've been having a play with my new camera (a Canon SX150) today and I'm swaying wildly between being stoked and devastated. I've managed to get a couple of macro shots that I know my Canon 400D was never capable of (with the basic 18-55mm lens anyway), so I'm thrilled about that. But I'm finding a lot of the images have a lot of noise, and taking lip swatch photos is just impossible. I'm sure I'll get there, but the learning is frustrating. I'm very used to using a digital SLR and the SX150 is essentially a point and shoot with bonus features. So they're not really on the same playing field - I guess it's not fair for me to compare them.
In more camera related news, it sounds like I'll be able to borrow the 18-55mm lens from my dad's old film Canon for my 400D. I don't regret buying the SX150, Mike is quite enamoured with it and it'll be much less bulky to take on holidays and such. Plus the macro. But I'm in love with my 400D. I can't believe I was so close to selling it after Noel broke the lens!
Anyway, here's the manicure I've been wearing over the past couple of days. I apologise for the tipwear, I've had this on since Friday and polish always chips and wears quickly on me! I tried photographing this on the tablet but it couldn't handle the fuchsia colour at all.

Bonus:
OPI Shatters are on clearance for $5 at The Warehouse at the moment, so I grabbed Navy Shatter. I couldn't resist trying it out over this mani, and I love how the glitter peeks through! I'm still on the look out for the Gold Shatter at The Warehouse. Apparently the promotion ends on Tuesday, so Kiwis should get in quick! (That is, if you're not bored to death of shatter - personally I'm warming up to it again.)
